【摘要】：蘇格蘭于2014年9月18日舉行全民獨(dú)立公投。對此事件,蘇格蘭和英格蘭報(bào)紙都有較為詳盡的報(bào)道。那么,對于同一事件的報(bào)道,蘇格蘭和英格蘭兩地報(bào)紙的報(bào)道有什么不同?報(bào)道在公投前后又是否一致? 本文目的是對比蘇格蘭報(bào)紙和英格蘭報(bào)紙對于2014年蘇格蘭獨(dú)立公投的報(bào)道。由于《蘇格蘭人》和《衛(wèi)報(bào)》在各自地區(qū)議程設(shè)定和新聞報(bào)道方面占有具有舉足輕重的地位,這兩份報(bào)紙被選為研究對象。本文采用定量內(nèi)容分析法,通過報(bào)道焦點(diǎn),報(bào)道感情腔調(diào)和新聞來源的引用三個(gè)方面來分析蘇格蘭報(bào)紙和英格蘭報(bào)紙如何描繪2014年蘇格蘭公投。 定量研究結(jié)果顯示《蘇格蘭人》和《衛(wèi)報(bào)》都側(cè)重報(bào)道精英階級的話題,更多的依賴較權(quán)威的官方新聞來源。兩報(bào)都不支持蘇格蘭獨(dú)立。 但是在更為具體的新聞話題選擇上,《蘇格蘭人》和《衛(wèi)報(bào)》又各具地區(qū)特色。在對待蘇格蘭民族黨的態(tài)度上,《衛(wèi)報(bào)》比《蘇格蘭人》更加消極。 定量分析的結(jié)果正好和兩報(bào)的政治立場相符合。兩報(bào)通過一系列寫作手法的采用直接或間接地表達(dá)各自的立場。這些寫作手法包括：片面的新聞敘述、巧用新聞標(biāo)題以及精心挑選報(bào)道主題和新聞來源。 除了地區(qū)差異之外,對于公投的報(bào)道還存在著時(shí)間差異。報(bào)道的焦點(diǎn)隨著事件的推移不斷變化。在公投之前,媒體議程主要是對于蘇格蘭獨(dú)立的討論和投票細(xì)節(jié)的報(bào)道。但在公投之后,媒體的注意力轉(zhuǎn)向了可能舉行的二次公投和進(jìn)一步權(quán)力下放。
