[Abstract]:The development of world history since the 15th century can be summed up as the rise of globalization and can be interpreted as the rise of capitalist world system. This grand process consists of two aspects: industrialism and colonialism. Industrialism led to class contradictions and colonialism led to national contradictions. Colonialism was subordinate to industrialism and counterproductive to the former. Colonial activities contributed to the formation and continuation of global modern class contradictions. Western colonial countries accumulated capital through colonial activities and promoted the change of class power within the nation.
