【摘要】：20年前,亞裔是共和黨的的忠實擁護(hù)者,但目前轉(zhuǎn)而投向民主黨,是什么原因改變亞裔的選票呢?本文旨在研究2012年亞裔美國人的選票情況。根據(jù)收集的數(shù)據(jù)和資料,詳細(xì)分析了亞裔選票。通過對比研究前幾次的和此次大選政黨認(rèn)同情況,發(fā)現(xiàn)亞裔美國人不再是共和黨的忠實支持者,反而更加獨立。到底是什么原因促使了亞裔從原來的政黨認(rèn)同到議題投票的轉(zhuǎn)變,這正是本論文旨在研究的問題。分析發(fā)現(xiàn)主要有三方面因素影響。其一是總統(tǒng)候選人的政治主張。當(dāng)分析亞裔對待一些重要議題的態(tài)度時可以了解到亞裔更加關(guān)心的是對他們有利的議題是否能夠通過。顯然奧巴馬的移民、醫(yī)改政策以及經(jīng)濟(jì)上面的主張更加符合亞裔的利益訴求。其二亞裔本身因素。移民、亞裔團(tuán)體在其中起了關(guān)鍵的作用。一方面,亞裔團(tuán)體展開一些列的活動鼓勵亞裔把選票投給滿足他們利益訴求的候選人。其次是移民,新的移民潮使得亞裔人口格局發(fā)生巨大改變。而新的移民由于短暫居住以及其他因素讓他們很難擁有穩(wěn)定的政黨認(rèn)同。他們更多的是關(guān)心議題是否對他們有利。原因三來源于兩黨。兩黨的政治立場更加極端化使得很多選民更加獨立。其次兩黨對亞裔選票的不作為同樣導(dǎo)致了該轉(zhuǎn)變。
