And the yet-to-come rulers and scholars in the service of the emperor have theoretically institutionalized, legalized and modelized the autocratic filial piety, thus bringing about those grave consequences as slavishness, anti-science and anti-humanity. Therefore, in oreder to make the past serve the present, the autocratic basis and the doctrine of traditional filial piety must be decarded.

　孝道是中國傳統(tǒng)專制文化的現(xiàn)實(shí)與歷史基礎(chǔ),孝是忠的前提,忠是孝的延伸。而《周易》則建構(gòu)了孝道的理論基礎(chǔ),《易傳》徹底改造了《易經(jīng)》中的先天平等思想,由所謂"先天不平等"(天尊地卑)的虛構(gòu)邏輯前提出發(fā),推演出"君尊臣卑"、"父尊子卑"、"夫尊婦卑"的理論主張。后代的統(tǒng)治者與御用文人,在理論上把這種專制性的孝道觀加以細(xì)化,在實(shí)踐中加以制度化、法律化、典范化,導(dǎo)致了奴性化、反科學(xué)性、反人性的嚴(yán)重后果。只有徹底拋棄專制基礎(chǔ),對傳統(tǒng)孝道觀加以揚(yáng)棄,才能真正古為今用。
