【摘要】：希拉里·普特南是當(dāng)代著名的數(shù)學(xué)家和哲學(xué)家。普特南支持不同的哲學(xué)立場(chǎng),經(jīng)常批評(píng)自己的理論觀點(diǎn),因此他的思想以“善變”而著稱。20世紀(jì)50—70年代,普特南的研究側(cè)重于意義理論。普特南認(rèn)為,研究語(yǔ)詞的意義問(wèn)題比研究語(yǔ)句的意義問(wèn)題更為重要。因此,普特南研究的是語(yǔ)詞的意義而不是語(yǔ)句的意義。傳統(tǒng)意義理論是內(nèi)涵式的意義理論,主張語(yǔ)詞的意義決定于說(shuō)話者的心理狀態(tài),因此傳統(tǒng)意義理論研究意義的方式是“內(nèi)在的”。普特南對(duì)傳統(tǒng)意義理論進(jìn)行了系統(tǒng)有力的批判,并在此基礎(chǔ)上建立了迥異于傳統(tǒng)意義理論的語(yǔ)義外在論。普特南的意義理論研究意義的方式是“外在的”,即通過(guò)先確定語(yǔ)詞的外延,再確定語(yǔ)詞的意義。普特南通過(guò)語(yǔ)言勞動(dòng)分工理論、因果指稱理論和環(huán)境因果作用理論,闡明了語(yǔ)詞的外延來(lái)源于社會(huì)和客觀環(huán)境的貢獻(xiàn),而不是說(shuō)話者的心理狀態(tài)。普特南沒(méi)有直接去定義“意義”概念,而是通過(guò)對(duì)意義進(jìn)行規(guī)范式描述,以此說(shuō)明“什么是知道了語(yǔ)詞的意義”和“在什么情況下兩個(gè)詞的意義相同”。普特南的意義理論克服了傳統(tǒng)意義理論的缺陷,為意義理論研究提供了全新的視角,肯定了研究“意義”的價(jià)值,極大地推動(dòng)了當(dāng)代意義理論的發(fā)展。
[Abstract]:Hilary Putnam is a famous mathematician and philosopher. Putnam support different philosophical perspective, often criticism of their own point of view, therefore his thoughts in "capricious" and known for.20 century from 50 to 70s, Putnam's research focuses on the theory of meaning. Putnam thinks that meaning of word is more important than the significance of the problem statement. Therefore, Putnam is the study of the meaning of words rather than the meaning of sentences. The traditional theory is the connotation of the theory of meaning, and the meaning of words depends on the speaker's psychological state, because the research significance of this traditional theory is "inherent". Putnam's strong criticism of the system the traditional theory of meaning, semantic externalism is established based on the different from the traditional theory. Putnam meaning theory research meaning is "external "That is, by first determining the extension of a word, and then determine the meaning of words. Putnam Nantong language theory of division of labor, causal theory of reference and environmental causation theory, expounds epitaxy source words in social environment and objective contribution, and mental state of the speaker is not. Putnam did not go directly to the definition of" the significance of "concept, but through the normative description of the significance, in order to explain" what is know the meaning of words "and" meaning in what circumstances two words of the same meaning. "Putnam theory overcomes the defects of the traditional theory of meaning, provides a new perspective for the significance of theoretical research, confirms the research the" meaning "value, greatly promoted the development of contemporary theory of meaning.
