本文旨在探討宣傳藝術(shù)與婦女解放的關(guān)系。從宣傳海報(bào)這一全新的視角來看待中國婦女的權(quán)利。中國共產(chǎn)黨自贏得內(nèi)戰(zhàn)以來,一直致力于婦女生活的改善。但要做到這一點(diǎn),他們需要對(duì)抗數(shù)百年的儒家傳統(tǒng)。這種傳統(tǒng)造就了中國社會(huì)女性的原型。婦女在家庭中被要求舉止得體,扮演好自己的角色。然而時(shí)代發(fā)展到今天,共產(chǎn)黨希望婦女?dāng)[脫家庭束縛,走出家門,走向田間地頭,走向工廠。因此,他們利用宣傳海報(bào)來宣傳新的行為模式,并最終為社會(huì)創(chuàng)造出一種新的女性原型——社會(huì)主義新女性——1949-1966年宣傳海報(bào)中所表現(xiàn)出來的一系列特征和行為。我通過分析這一時(shí)期的各種宣傳海報(bào),來回答誰是社會(huì)主義新女性、她和傳統(tǒng)的模型有什么取別。
