沈知方的出版理念與策略研究

【摘要】:出版作為“催生近代世界出現(xiàn)的利器”, [1]緣于中國古代造紙術(shù)與印刷術(shù)的發(fā)明后才具備技術(shù)和物質(zhì)基礎(chǔ)的,在中國至19世紀后半期真正成為一門產(chǎn)業(yè),其標志便是商務(wù)印書館、中華書局、世界書局等一批現(xiàn)代出版企業(yè)的出現(xiàn)。要研究近代中國的歷史文化演變,出版業(yè)是不可忽視的重要一面。 沈知方是世界書局的創(chuàng)始人,自小在書業(yè)摸爬滾打。在當時出版界中,可稱是善于把握機會,有創(chuàng)業(yè)精神的闖將。當時的中國出版業(yè)正值從傳統(tǒng)向現(xiàn)代轉(zhuǎn)型之際,沈知方抓住時機,以通俗文學起家,繼而轉(zhuǎn)向教科書市場、古籍與新文學。在眾多競爭對手里面,將世界書局從一個小作坊發(fā)展到排名第三的書局。他的出版經(jīng)營思想影響了當時出版業(yè)的格局。 沈知方把文化事業(yè)與市場相結(jié)合,把出版的圖書運用市場化運作手段銷售出去,加快了中國出版業(yè)近代化和市場化的進程,推動了中國出版的現(xiàn)代轉(zhuǎn)型。 本文以沈知方的出版經(jīng)歷為切入點,梳理了他的出版生涯,并進一步剖析和研究他的出版理念與策略:歸結(jié)出他于出版經(jīng)營活動中所奉行的以通俗讀物積累資金,以教科書出版奠定地位,以出版經(jīng)典鑄就品牌,以任人唯賢網(wǎng)羅人才等出版理念,以及根植于這些出版理念,他在企業(yè)經(jīng)營中采取的融資策略和營銷策略。 本文采用分析綜合、歸納演繹、文獻分析、對比、舉例等方法,從理論與實踐相結(jié)合的層面,大量引用實例說明問題,展開論證,對沈知方的出版理念及實踐進行較為深入、系統(tǒng)的探討。希望能在我國出版業(yè)改制的情況下,對發(fā)展和繁榮當代出版業(yè)提供一些啟發(fā)。
[Abstract]:Publishing, as a "sharp weapon that gave birth to the emergence of the modern world", [1] was really an industry from China to the second half of the 19th century because of the technological and material foundation of the invention of ancient Chinese papermaking and printing. Its symbol is the emergence of a number of modern publishing enterprises, such as Commercial Press, Zhonghua Bookstore, World Bookstore and so on. To study the historical and cultural evolution of modern China, the publishing industry is an important aspect that can not be ignored. Shen Zhifang is the founder of the world bookshop, since childhood in the book industry. In the publishing world at that time, can be said to be good at grasping opportunities, entrepreneurship will. At that time, when the publishing industry in China was transforming from tradition to modern, Shen Zhifang seized the opportunity to start with popular literature and then turned to the textbook market, ancient books and new literature. Among the many competitors, the world bookshop developed from a small workshop to the third place. His thought of publishing management influenced the pattern of publishing industry at that time. Shen Zhifang combines the cultural cause with the market and sells the published books by means of marketization, which speeds up the process of modernization and marketization of China's publishing industry and promotes the modern transformation of Chinese publishing. Based on Shen Zhifang's publishing experience, this paper combs his publishing career, and further analyzes and studies his publishing ideas and strategies. The publishing ideas of textbook publishing, classic publishing, talent recruitment and so on, and the financing strategies and marketing strategies adopted by him in the enterprise management are also discussed in this paper. (4) the publishing ideas of "textbook publishing", "classic publishing" and "recruitment of talents by appointment of meritocracy", as well as the financing and marketing strategies he adopts in enterprise management. This paper adopts the methods of analysis and synthesis, inductive deduction, literature analysis, contrast, example, and so on, from the aspect of combining theory and practice, a large number of examples are cited to illustrate the problem, and the demonstration is carried out, and the publishing idea and practice of Shen Zhifang are deeply studied. Systematic discussion. The author hopes to provide some inspiration for the development and prosperity of the contemporary publishing industry under the condition of reform of the publishing industry in our country.
