面向虛擬地球的海陸地形多尺度TIN建模及可視化方法

【摘要】:提出了一種面向虛擬地球的海陸地形多尺度不規(guī)則三角網(wǎng)(triangulated irregular network,TIN)建模及球面快速可視化方法。利用貪心插入TIN表面簡化算法構(gòu)建海陸地形的離線TIN金字塔,并設(shè)計了一種高效的虛擬節(jié)點結(jié)構(gòu),對各級TIN構(gòu)網(wǎng)實施無縫分割和分層分塊存儲。在利用離線TIN地形金字塔實現(xiàn)多尺度海陸TIN地形的快速檢索和三維場景生成的基礎(chǔ)上,通過一種接邊關(guān)系編解碼方案實時消除TIN地形渲染時的裂縫,最終實現(xiàn)多尺度海陸TIN地形場景的高效可視化。實驗結(jié)果表明,該方法能顯著減少海面渲染所需的面片數(shù),并實現(xiàn)島礁、海岸等破碎地形的高保真度表達,有效改善了傳統(tǒng)虛擬地球系統(tǒng)采用規(guī)則格網(wǎng)(Gird)模式繪制海陸地形導(dǎo)致大量幾何冗余和表達失真等缺陷。
[Abstract]:In this paper, a method for modeling and fast visualization of the spherical surface of a multi-scale irregular triangular network (triangulated irregular network,TIN) of land and sea terrain for virtual earth is presented. The TIN surface simplification algorithm is used to construct the off-line TIN pyramid of land and sea terrain, and an efficient virtual node structure is designed to implement seamless segmentation and hierarchical block storage for all levels of TIN network. On the basis of fast retrieval and 3D scene generation of multi-scale sea-land TIN terrain using off-line TIN topographic pyramid, the cracks of TIN terrain rendering are eliminated in real time by a scheme of encode and decode of edge connection relation. Finally, the high efficiency visualization of multi-scale land and sea TIN terrain scene is realized. The experimental results show that the proposed method can significantly reduce the number of surface patches needed for surface rendering, and realize the high fidelity representation of broken terrain, such as islands, reefs and coasts, etc. It can effectively improve the defects of traditional virtual earth system such as geometric redundancy and representation distortion caused by the use of regular grid (Gird) model to map land and sea terrain.
