INTEL公司服務器主板HWV循環(huán)供電測試系統的研究、設計與實現
[Abstract]:Intel HWV cyclic Power supply Test system (HPCTS:HWV Power Cycling Test System) is an independent research and development project when the author worked as a hardware intern in Intel Asia Pacific R & D Co., Ltd. PEG-HWV (Platform Engineering Group-Hardware Verification. The purpose of this paper is to provide a set of perfect cyclic power supply test scheme for Intel server motherboard. Compared with the original test scheme, this scheme can greatly improve the efficiency of cyclic power supply test, shorten the testing time of server motherboard hardware and error correction. HPCTS has been in charge of the department. The approval and support of the head of Intel PEG-BIOS department and the director of Intel PEG-BDE (Board Design Engineering) have entered the trial stage of program adjustment at present. Cyclic power supply test is the first and most important test in the test process of server motherboard. Different types of cyclic power supply test can reflect the robustness of motherboard hardware, firmware (such as BMC,). The stability of BIOS and firmware of peripheral controller and its compatibility with operating system (Linux, Windows OS). The previous cyclic power supply test scheme was limited to a cyclic power supply test on a single server motherboard. Once there is a problem in the test, it is difficult to locate and solve the problem. The HPCT, which is independently developed by the author, can realize cross-platform test comparison and cross-type test comparison because it supports different types of cyclic power supply testing on multiple motherboards, so as to help test engineers locate the source of the problem more quickly and solve the problem. It saves the time of motherboard test and error correction. The cycle power supply test scheme includes the hardware and firmware design of HPCT test tool, and the software design of upper computer for testers. Modification of motherboard BIOS in accordance with Intel server cyclic power supply test standard and design of batch script for motherboard automatic detection software with cyclic power supply test. The knowledge that needs to be understood or mastered includes embedded hardware design, embedded firmware development, Microsoft Windows OS multithread programming, Intel server cyclic power supply test standard, Intel server hardware architecture and server BIOS architecture. BIOS development and Intel server hardware power down timing and so on. A considerable part of the knowledge comes from the internal data of Intel, such as server hardware architecture, system memory mapping, BIOS C language source code and so on, which can not be exposed due to NDA restrictions. In this paper, the whole scheme will be expounded from the point of view of design ideas and methods, the innovation of the scheme will be explained from the point of view of design principle, and the feasibility and development space of the scheme will be proved by the results of practical verification.
