基于硅-鈮酸鋰復(fù)合波導(dǎo)的偏振復(fù)用器設(shè)計(jì)

【摘要】:結(jié)合鈮酸鋰薄膜的研究現(xiàn)狀,提出一種硅與鈮酸鋰復(fù)合集成的波導(dǎo)結(jié)構(gòu),該波導(dǎo)結(jié)構(gòu)能夠?qū)⒐杌某墒旃に嚺c鈮酸鋰材料的特性結(jié)合,利用鈮酸鋰的高雙折射特性,該波導(dǎo)結(jié)構(gòu)在實(shí)現(xiàn)偏振控制器件方面具有一系列獨(dú)特的優(yōu)勢(shì).基于硅與鈮酸鋰復(fù)合的波導(dǎo)結(jié)構(gòu),設(shè)計(jì)了兩類(lèi)無(wú)源器件:定向耦合型偏振分離器和定向耦合型偏振分離轉(zhuǎn)換器.分別采用光束傳輸法(BPM)和時(shí)域有限差分法(FDTD)對(duì)兩類(lèi)器件進(jìn)行了仿真與性能分析,仿真計(jì)算結(jié)果表明,偏振分離器能夠?qū)崿F(xiàn)TE模和TM模的分離,且消光比高于30dB,在保證消光比大于10dB的情況下,其帶寬約為70nm,工藝容差達(dá)100nm;偏振分離轉(zhuǎn)換器能夠?qū)崿F(xiàn)TM模向TE模的轉(zhuǎn)換,且消光比達(dá)20dB.兩類(lèi)器件均具有尺寸小、結(jié)構(gòu)簡(jiǎn)單、工藝上易于實(shí)現(xiàn)等優(yōu)點(diǎn).
[Abstract]:According to the research status of lithium niobate thin films, a kind of composite waveguide structure is proposed, which combines the mature process of silicon with the characteristics of lithium niobate, and makes use of the high birefringence of lithium niobate. The waveguide structure has a series of unique advantages in the realization of polarization controller. Based on the waveguide structure of silicon and lithium niobate, two kinds of passive devices are designed: directional coupling polarization separator and directional coupling polarization separation converter. The beam propagation method (BPM) and the finite-difference time-domain method (FDTD) are used to simulate and analyze the performance of the two kinds of devices. The simulation results show that the polarization separator can separate te mode from TM mode. The extinction ratio is more than 30 dB, the bandwidth is about 70 nm and the process tolerance is 100 nm when the extinction ratio is more than 10 dB. The polarization separation converter can realize the conversion of TM mode to te mode, and the extinction Prida is 20 dB. Both kinds of devices have the advantages of small size, simple structure and easy to be realized in technology.
