【摘要】:隨著電子信息科學(xué)技術(shù)的不斷發(fā)展,便攜式電子設(shè)備的使用越來越普遍,對其性能的要求也越來越高,而供電電源的性能是決定便攜式電子設(shè)備性能的重要因素,因而高性能電源管理類芯片的研究與設(shè)計(jì)對于市場需求具有實(shí)際的應(yīng)用意義。本論文的課題來源是基于西安電子科技大學(xué)CAD研究所的科研項(xiàng)目“電源管理類集成電路關(guān)鍵技術(shù)的研究及設(shè)計(jì)”,研究設(shè)計(jì)了一款頻率可調(diào)的高效同步BUCK型DC-DC轉(zhuǎn)換器XD2825。通過對模擬CMOS集成電路設(shè)計(jì)基本理論的學(xué)習(xí)與理解,并結(jié)合當(dāng)前電源設(shè)備的市場需求,該轉(zhuǎn)換器芯片XD2825采用PWM調(diào)制方式的峰值電流模式控制環(huán)路,具有較快的瞬態(tài)響應(yīng)速度,且利用同步整流技術(shù)有效地提高了系統(tǒng)的轉(zhuǎn)換效率。為擴(kuò)展芯片XD2825的應(yīng)用場合,在系統(tǒng)內(nèi)部集成了可進(jìn)行時鐘頻率調(diào)節(jié)的外同步模塊,使芯片XD2825可工作在較寬范圍的時鐘頻率下。為使系統(tǒng)能在全負(fù)載范圍內(nèi)均具備較高的轉(zhuǎn)換效率,故集成了低功率模式,系統(tǒng)可根據(jù)負(fù)載的不同選擇采用連續(xù)工作模式或非連續(xù)工作模式。論文將首先介紹電源管理類集成電路的研究背景、現(xiàn)狀和發(fā)展以及開關(guān)電源的主要性能指標(biāo);其次對BUCK型DC-DC轉(zhuǎn)換器的工作原理進(jìn)行分析,其中包括DC-DC轉(zhuǎn)換器的拓?fù)浣Y(jié)構(gòu)、主要工作模式、主要調(diào)制方式以及主要控制模式,為芯片XD2825系統(tǒng)級的研究與設(shè)計(jì)提供了理論依據(jù);然后對芯片XD2825進(jìn)行系統(tǒng)級的研究和設(shè)計(jì),確定芯片XD2825的功能以及具體的電特性指標(biāo),并對系統(tǒng)的整體功能框圖和各個功能子模塊進(jìn)行詳細(xì)的闡述;最后對芯片XD2825進(jìn)行了整體功能的仿真,驗(yàn)證其工作的有效性,之后對版圖的設(shè)計(jì)技術(shù)進(jìn)行簡單介紹,同時給出了芯片XD2825的版圖布局與整體版圖。芯片XD2825采用0.5μm的BCD 30V制造工藝,依靠Cadence仿真環(huán)境下的Spectre仿真工具進(jìn)行整體功能仿真驗(yàn)證。芯片XD2825將具有4.75V~20V的寬輸入電壓范圍,內(nèi)部固定時鐘頻率500KHz,外部可同步時鐘頻率300KHz~2 MHz,最大負(fù)載電流4 A,轉(zhuǎn)換效率可達(dá)95%。該芯片可廣泛應(yīng)用于路由器、筆記本電腦和移動電源等設(shè)備中,具有轉(zhuǎn)換效率高、靜態(tài)功耗低和工作穩(wěn)定等優(yōu)點(diǎn),極大地改善了便攜式電子設(shè)備的電源性能。
[Abstract]:With the development of electronic information science and technology, the use of portable electronic equipment is becoming more and more common, and the performance of power supply is an important factor to determine the performance of portable electronic equipment.Therefore, the research and design of high performance power supply management chip has practical application significance to market demand.This thesis is based on the research project of CAD Institute of Xi'an University of Electronic Science and Technology, "the Research and Design of the key Technologies of Power Management IC". A frequency adjustable and high efficient synchronous BUCK DC-DC converter XD2825 is designed.By studying and understanding the basic theory of analog CMOS integrated circuit design and combining with the market demand of current power supply equipment, the converter chip XD2825 adopts the peak current mode of PWM modulation mode to control the loop, which has a fast transient response speed.The conversion efficiency of the system is improved effectively by using synchronous rectification technology.In order to extend the application of the chip XD2825, the external synchronization module which can adjust the clock frequency is integrated in the system, so that the chip XD2825 can work in a wide range of clock frequencies.In order to make the system have higher conversion efficiency in the whole load range, the low power mode is integrated. The system can choose continuous mode or discontinuous mode according to the different load.This paper first introduces the research background, current situation and development of power management type integrated circuit, and the main performance index of switching power supply, and then analyzes the working principle of BUCK type DC-DC converter, including the topology structure of DC-DC converter.The main working mode, main modulation mode and main control mode provide the theoretical basis for the research and design of the chip XD2825 system-level, and then carry on the system-level research and design to the chip XD2825.The function of chip XD2825 and the specific electrical characteristic index are determined, and the whole function block diagram and each functional sub-module of the system are described in detail. Finally, the whole function of chip XD2825 is simulated to verify the effectiveness of its work.Then the layout design technology is briefly introduced, and the layout and overall layout of chip XD2825 are given.The chip XD2825 uses 0.5 渭 m BCD 30V manufacturing process, and the whole function is verified by the Spectre simulation tool under the Cadence simulation environment.The chip XD2825 will have a wide input voltage range of 4.75V~20V, an internal fixed clock frequency of 500kHz, an external synchronous clock frequency of 300KHz~2 MHz, a maximum load current of 4A, and a conversion efficiency of 95kHz.The chip can be widely used in routers, laptops, mobile power supply and other devices. It has the advantages of high conversion efficiency, low static power consumption and stable operation, which greatly improves the power performance of portable electronic devices.
