紐馬克翻譯理論視角下英譯政治外宣文本的研究

【摘要】:在全球化背景下,國(guó)與國(guó)的交流不斷加深,中國(guó)逐漸成為世界經(jīng)濟(jì)、政治的主要力量之一。對(duì)外宣傳對(duì)呈現(xiàn)給世界一個(gè)真實(shí)的中國(guó)起到了十分重要的作用。政治外宣是指與政治相關(guān)的對(duì)外宣傳,它主要是向外國(guó)讀者介紹、宣傳中國(guó)的政策,表明中國(guó)政府對(duì)政治事件的態(tài)度。中國(guó)的政宣文本包括政府的政策和指導(dǎo)方針,國(guó)內(nèi)形勢(shì)以及變化和發(fā)展。政治外宣文本的翻譯由來(lái)已久。在新中國(guó)最初成立的時(shí)候,迫切需要得到國(guó)際社會(huì)的承認(rèn),外交工作隨之得到開(kāi)展,翻譯的需求量也增加了。但這一時(shí)期的對(duì)外翻譯還是比較少,主要是對(duì)毛澤東著作的翻譯。隨著中國(guó)的改革開(kāi)放,在國(guó)際上地位的逐步提升,更多的國(guó)家和人們希望了解中國(guó)的政治、經(jīng)濟(jì)和文化。因此,政治文本作為對(duì)外宣傳的重要渠道之一,它的翻譯就變得越來(lái)越重要,所以關(guān)于政治文件翻譯的研究也越來(lái)越多。政治外宣文件的翻譯是一項(xiàng)非常嚴(yán)肅的工作,忠實(shí)于原文是政宣翻譯的出發(fā)點(diǎn),著眼于目標(biāo)語(yǔ)讀者是歸宿,兩者必須統(tǒng)一。 本文語(yǔ)料取自我國(guó)2012年發(fā)布的五部白皮書(shū)及其英譯本。政府白皮書(shū)是一國(guó)政府或議會(huì)正式發(fā)表的以白色封面裝幀的重要文件的別稱(chēng),是國(guó)際上公認(rèn)的正式官方文書(shū)。中國(guó)政府已發(fā)布的白皮書(shū)涵蓋范圍廣泛,全面準(zhǔn)確地介紹了中國(guó)政府在許多重大問(wèn)題上的原則立場(chǎng)、政策主張以及進(jìn)展,增進(jìn)了國(guó)際社會(huì)對(duì)中國(guó)的了解,也因此受到了廣泛的關(guān)注。政府白皮書(shū)在政治外宣語(yǔ)料中具有權(quán)威性和代表性。政治外宣材料是語(yǔ)言和文化的載體,其語(yǔ)言和文化的翻譯障礙成為影響政治外宣翻譯主要因素。因此,本文重點(diǎn)從政宣翻譯中的語(yǔ)言和文化因素入手,,研究如何消除政宣翻譯過(guò)程中的語(yǔ)言和文化的障礙,實(shí)現(xiàn)有效成功的翻譯。語(yǔ)義翻譯和交際翻譯理論是紐馬克的翻譯理論中最核心、最重要的理論,它為解決政宣翻譯中的問(wèn)題提供了很好的理論基礎(chǔ)。本文試圖從語(yǔ)義翻譯和交際翻譯理論角度分析如何準(zhǔn)確地傳達(dá)原文的精神實(shí)質(zhì),如何使譯本被國(guó)外讀者理解不造成誤解,并且盡量地保留其中國(guó)特色,提高翻譯質(zhì)量,促進(jìn)交流。 政宣文本作為一種特殊的文本資料,根據(jù)紐馬克的翻譯理論,政宣文本同時(shí)具有表達(dá)型、信息型和呼喚型文本的功能。語(yǔ)義翻譯試圖在目標(biāo)語(yǔ)的語(yǔ)義和句法結(jié)構(gòu)允許的情況下,準(zhǔn)確地傳達(dá)原文的語(yǔ)境意義。語(yǔ)義翻譯服從源語(yǔ)的文化和作者,源文本的語(yǔ)義只有在其內(nèi)涵意義造成理解障礙時(shí)才加以解釋。在交際翻譯中,目標(biāo)文本所產(chǎn)生的效果應(yīng)力求接近原文,交際翻譯忠于目標(biāo)語(yǔ)及其讀者,不給讀者留下任何晦澀難懂之處。因此,在對(duì)政府白皮書(shū)的詞匯、句法、修辭和文化四個(gè)方面做出具體分析后,作者認(rèn)為在翻譯政治外宣文本時(shí),以語(yǔ)義翻譯為主,交際翻譯為輔,并提出在政治外宣翻譯時(shí)的原則和策略。
[Abstract]:Under the background of globalization, the exchange between countries is deepening, and China is becoming one of the main forces in world economy and politics. External propaganda has played a very important role in presenting a real China to the world. Political propaganda refers to foreign propaganda related to politics. It mainly introduces Chinese policy to foreign readers and shows the Chinese government's attitude towards political events. The text of China's political propaganda includes government policies and guidelines, domestic situation, changes and developments. The translation of political propaganda texts has a long history. At the beginning of the founding of New China, the urgent need to be recognized by the international community, the diplomatic work was carried out, and the demand for translation increased. However, the translation of Mao Zedong's works is still relatively few in this period. With China's reform and opening to the outside world, more countries and people want to know more about China's politics, economy and culture. Therefore, as one of the important channels of propaganda, the translation of political text becomes more and more important, so there are more and more studies on the translation of political documents. The translation of political propaganda documents is a very serious task. Faithful to the original text is the starting point of political propaganda translation. The corpus of this paper is drawn from five white papers published in 2012 and their English translations. White Paper is an important document which is officially published by a government or parliament with a white cover. It is an internationally recognized official document. The white paper issued by the Chinese Government covers a wide range of areas and comprehensively and accurately introduces the Chinese Government's principled stand, policy proposals and progress on many major issues, thus enhancing the international community's understanding of China. Because of this, widespread attention has been paid. The government white paper has authority and representativeness in the political publicity materials. Political publicity materials are the carriers of language and culture, and the obstacles to translation of their languages and cultures have become the main factors affecting the translation of political propaganda. Therefore, this paper focuses on the linguistic and cultural factors in the translation of political publicity, and studies how to remove the barriers of language and culture in the process of political propaganda translation and to achieve effective and successful translation. Semantic translation and communicative translation are the core and most important theories in Newmark's translation theory, which provide a good theoretical basis for solving the problems in political translation. From the perspective of semantic translation and communicative translation, this paper attempts to analyze how to accurately convey the spiritual essence of the original text, how to make the translation understood by foreign readers without misunderstanding, and how to preserve its Chinese characteristics and improve the quality of translation as far as possible. Facilitating communication. As a kind of special text material, according to Newmark's translation theory, political propaganda text has the functions of expressive text, informational text and calling text. Semantic translation attempts to accurately convey the contextual meaning of the original text when the semantic and syntactic structures of the target language permit. From the culture and author of the source language, the semantics of the source text can only be explained when the meaning of the source text causes an obstacle to understanding. In communicative translation, the effect of the target text should be as close as possible to the original text. The communicative translation is faithful to the target language and its readers and does not leave readers with any obscure points. Therefore, after making a concrete analysis of the vocabulary, syntax, rhetoric and culture of the White Paper, the author holds that in translating political publicity texts, semantic translation is the main task, and communicative translation is secondary. And put forward the principles and strategies in political publicity translation.
