[Abstract]:On October 25 th, the standing Committee of the political Bureau of the 19th Central Committee met with Chinese and foreign reporters at the Great Hall of the people in Beijing. Xi Jinping, newly elected general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, delivered an important speech. He said: in 2020, we will build a well-off society in an all-round way. To build a well-off society in an all-round way, one must not be small; on the road to common prosperity, one cannot be left behind. We will do our best throughout the Party and the whole country to resolutely accomplish the task of overcoming poverty and tackle difficult problems and ensure that our commitments are honoured.
