【摘要】：本文分析了中國村莊宗族網(wǎng)絡對家庭平滑消費的影響,并從農(nóng)村正規(guī)融資與私人融資的角度進行了解釋。運用包含宗族祠堂和家譜信息的獨特面板數(shù)據(jù),本文研究發(fā)現(xiàn),宗族網(wǎng)絡的存在或其強度的增加為農(nóng)村家庭提供了更完全的平滑消費;其原因是,中國農(nóng)村金融機構或信用合作社相對滯后,宗族外成員也并非完全了解借款人的信用級別、風險偏好或償還能力,宗族網(wǎng)絡于是可被視為一種信用機制或擔保機制,使得其成員能獲得更多的私人融資。這些發(fā)現(xiàn)表明了宗族網(wǎng)絡作為非正式制度在農(nóng)村平滑消費中的重要性,并對中國農(nóng)村正式制度的發(fā)展具有啟示意義。
[Abstract]:This paper analyzes the impact of Chinese village clan network on the smooth consumption of households, and explains it from the perspective of rural formal financing and private financing. Using the unique panel data including clan ancestral halls and genealogical information, this paper finds that, The existence or increase in intensity of clan networks has provided rural households with more complete and smooth consumption; the reason is that China's rural financial institutions or credit cooperatives are lagging behind, and non-clan members are not fully aware of the credit rating of borrowers. Risk appetite or repayment capacity, clan networks can then be considered as a credit mechanism or guarantee mechanism, These findings indicate the importance of clan network as an informal institution in rural consumption smoothing and enlighten the development of rural formal system in China.
