高/低語(yǔ)境文化與權(quán)力距離對(duì)中美學(xué)生選擇與老師交流媒體的影響

隨著現(xiàn)代科技水平的不斷發(fā)展,人與人之間的通迅交流工具也越來(lái)越豐富,使得人們能更方便的傳達(dá)信息。人與人之間為了更有效的交流信息,會(huì)選擇不同的交流媒體。人們的媒體選擇行為受很多因素的影響,其中文化因素是很重要的一個(gè)。本文將Hall的高/低語(yǔ)境以及Hofstede的權(quán)力距離兩大文化維度與媒體豐富度理論相結(jié)合,對(duì)中美大學(xué)生選擇與老師交流媒體的情況進(jìn)行對(duì)比研究。研究者們認(rèn)為中國(guó)屬于高語(yǔ)境和高權(quán)力距離文化,而美國(guó)屬于低語(yǔ)境和低權(quán)力距離文化,所以本研究將首先對(duì)中美大學(xué)生的語(yǔ)境文化和權(quán)力距離價(jià)值觀做對(duì)比調(diào)查分析。前人研究還發(fā)現(xiàn)高語(yǔ)境文化和高權(quán)力距離文化下人群更容易選擇面對(duì)面來(lái)進(jìn)行非言語(yǔ)交流以及表示對(duì)高地位人的尊重。而媒體豐富度理論認(rèn)為,不同的媒體有著不同的豐富度。因此作者對(duì)個(gè)體層面上這兩種文化維度的高低與媒體選擇之間的相互影響和關(guān)系進(jìn)行了分析研究。在此基礎(chǔ)上,作者一共提出4個(gè)假設(shè)。本研究采取實(shí)證研究的方法,即問(wèn)卷調(diào)查。問(wèn)卷借鑒的是Richardson和Smith在07年做過(guò)的關(guān)于日本和美國(guó)大學(xué)生和老師交流媒體選擇情況一文中的問(wèn)卷。共有三份問(wèn)卷,分別是高/低語(yǔ)境交流問(wèn)卷、權(quán)力距離問(wèn)卷和交流媒體問(wèn)卷。研究...
