目前,我國大多數(shù)高職院校的英語教學(xué)著重于對學(xué)生的閱讀理解能力的培養(yǎng),而對學(xué)生口語能力的培養(yǎng)不夠重視,在這樣的教學(xué)思想指導(dǎo)下,許多高職院校非英語專業(yè)的畢業(yè)生雖然經(jīng)歷了多年正規(guī)系統(tǒng)的英語學(xué)習(xí),卻連最簡單的日常用語都難于表達,更不用說用英語進行溝通和交流了。針對這一現(xiàn)狀,本文意在研究探討如何將多元智能理論應(yīng)用到高職英語口語教學(xué),從而達到培養(yǎng)和提高學(xué)生口語能力的目的。多元智能理論是加德納在上世紀八十年代提出的,一經(jīng)提出,就引起了巨大的反響。該理論認為,人的智能呈現(xiàn)多元化的狀態(tài),每個學(xué)習(xí)者都有至少八種以上的智能。該理論提倡教師應(yīng)注意利用學(xué)生的優(yōu)勢智能,運用多種方式設(shè)計豐富多彩的課堂活動來組織教學(xué),建立以學(xué)生為中心的課堂,從而激發(fā)每個學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)的興趣,增強學(xué)生的自信心。其中的人際交往技能提倡合作學(xué)習(xí),自我反思技能更提倡培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的自主學(xué)習(xí)能力。這些都和現(xiàn)階段英語新課程標準中提出的新教學(xué)理念相契合。近年來尤其在國外,研究者將多元智能理論廣泛地應(yīng)用于各學(xué)科教學(xué),并且還創(chuàng)建了一些以這一理念為指導(dǎo)的學(xué)校,就關(guān)注每個學(xué)生的個性差異,激發(fā)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)興趣,改變傳統(tǒng)授課方式等方面進行了大量的理論和實證研究,并取得了預(yù)...
