【摘要】：隨著中國的全球化進程不斷加深,海外華人網(wǎng)絡(luò)作為一項在東道國的重要關(guān)系資產(chǎn)越來越受到重視。本文基于2008~2013年53個國家的海外華人存量數(shù)據(jù)與中國對外投資宏觀的國家數(shù)據(jù),考察了海外華人網(wǎng)絡(luò)對中國對外投資的影響及異質(zhì)性,并利用Bootstrap中介檢驗方法檢驗了海外華人網(wǎng)絡(luò)對中國對外投資的影響途徑。研究發(fā)現(xiàn),總體上,海外華人網(wǎng)絡(luò)作為與東道國文化交流的重要紐帶,對中國的對外投資產(chǎn)生了積極影響,上述結(jié)論在控制了內(nèi)生性問題后依然穩(wěn)健。進一步,通過中介效應(yīng)檢驗,發(fā)現(xiàn)文化距離的中介效應(yīng)顯著,海外華人網(wǎng)絡(luò)會通過降低中國與東道國之間的文化差異間接促進中國對外投資。同時發(fā)現(xiàn),海外華人網(wǎng)絡(luò)對中國對外投資的影響在不同東道國存在顯著異質(zhì)性,在文化差異大和制度質(zhì)量低的東道國,海外華人網(wǎng)絡(luò)的正向作用更明顯。
[Abstract]:With the deepening of China's globalization process, overseas Chinese network as an important relationship asset in the host country has been paid more and more attention. Based on the data of overseas Chinese stock in 53 countries from 2008 to 2013 and the macro national data of China's outward investment, this paper examines the influence and heterogeneity of overseas Chinese network on China's overseas investment. The influence of overseas Chinese network on China's foreign investment is tested by using Bootstrap intermediary test method. It is found that the overseas Chinese network, as an important link of cultural exchange with the host country, has a positive impact on China's foreign investment, and the above conclusions are still stable after controlling the endogenous problems. Furthermore, through the test of intermediary effect, we find that the intermediary effect of cultural distance is significant, and the overseas Chinese network can indirectly promote China's foreign investment by reducing the cultural differences between China and the host country. At the same time, it is found that the influence of overseas Chinese network on China's foreign investment has significant heterogeneity in different host countries, and the positive effect of overseas Chinese network is more obvious in the host countries with great cultural differences and low institutional quality.
