【摘要】：種族形成理論批判傳統(tǒng)的基于族性、階級和民族的種族理論,認為它們犯了不同類型的簡化論錯誤。該理論重新將種族置于分析的核心,它既非本質,亦非幻象,而是通過種族工程實現(xiàn)的一種社會建構。"種族形成"是一個社會歷史過程,個體/群體的種族身份、種族設置和社會實踐在該過程中的形成和轉換通過種族意義的政治性競爭而實現(xiàn)。國家在種族形成中扮演著重要角色,它是種族意義和權力斗爭的場域。由于種族形成理論過于強調國家,忽略了白人在制造和維系種族主義結構中的關鍵角色,同時它缺乏以"交叉式視角"來看待種族問題。
[Abstract]:The theory of racial formation criticizes the traditional racial theories based on ethnicity, class and nationality, and considers that they have made different types of simplifications. The theory replaces race at the heart of analysis. It is neither an essence nor an illusion, but a social construction realized through racial engineering. " Racial formation "is a social and historical process in which the formation and transformation of the racial identity, ethnic setup and social practice of individuals / groups are realized through political competition in the sense of race." The state plays an important role in the formation of race, which is the field of race meaning and power struggle. Because the racial formation theory places too much emphasis on the state, it neglects the key role of white people in creating and maintaining the racist structure, and it lacks a "cross-view" approach to racial problems.
