【摘要】：正創(chuàng)刊于美國1978年11月,由全美華人協(xié)會(huì)波士頓分會(huì)發(fā)起,美籍華裔科學(xué)家聶華桐、潘毓剛、錢寧等提議創(chuàng)辦,并得到中美兩國數(shù)百位著名學(xué)者的熱烈響應(yīng)和大力支持,陳省身、楊振寧、張明覺等著名華裔科學(xué)家受聘擔(dān)任編委,美籍華裔學(xué)者錢寧教授出任首任主編。1980年1月,《科技導(dǎo)報(bào)》創(chuàng)刊號(hào)在美國出版,在中國大陸發(fā)行,銷售約10萬冊(cè),引起社會(huì)轟動(dòng)。創(chuàng)刊號(hào)的"發(fā)刊詞"將辦刊宗旨確定為:促進(jìn)中外科技學(xué)術(shù)交流,探討現(xiàn)代化的道路和方法
[Abstract]:Founded in November 1978 in the United States, sponsored by the Boston Branch of the All-American Chinese Association, Chinese-American scientists Nie Huatong, Pan Yugang, Qian Ning and others proposed to establish it, and received warm response and strong support from hundreds of famous scholars from China and the United States. Shiing-Shen Chern, Yang Zhenning, Zhang Mingjue and other famous Chinese scientists were appointed as editorial boards, and Professor Channing, a Chinese-American scholar, served as the first editor-in-chief. In January 1980, the inaugural issue of the Science and Technology Guide was published in the United States and published in mainland China, with about 100000 copies sold. Cause a social sensation. In the first issue of the publication, the purpose of running the journal is to promote the exchange of science and technology between China and foreign countries, and to explore the road and methods of modernization.
