[Abstract]:After the financial crisis of 2008, the growth of international direct investment was repeated and the recovery was weak, but the developing countries were active in that period, becoming a new force to attract foreign investment and foreign investment. China has been actively integrated into the global value chain. It is the developing country that attracts the most foreign capital and the third largest foreign investment country in the world, which attracts the attention of the world. As an emerging market, the African continent, with its vast market and abundant resources, has become a new hot spot of global investment. China has a long history of political and economic cooperation with African countries. In recent years, more and more Chinese enterprises, including large state-owned enterprises and small and medium-sized private enterprises, have chosen to invest in Africa. With the increase of investment quota and investment income, Africa has become an important destination for China's capital flow. China's investment in Africa has, on the one hand, opened up overseas markets for China, obtained cheap labour and scarce resources, and on the other hand brought African countries resources such as capital, technology and jobs. Promoted the host country economy and the social development, is one kind of double-win situation. The main purpose of this paper is to study the influence factors of China's direct investment in Africa. In this paper, the data of 38 African countries from 2003 to 2013 are selected for panel analysis, and empirical tests are made from both economic and political aspects. The results show that China's direct investment in Africa is positively correlated with the market size, bilateral trade, natural resources, human resources and economic freedom of the host country, but not significantly related to the infrastructure situation of the host country. In addition, there is a significant negative correlation between China's direct investment in Africa and the clean government index of the host country. On this basis, put forward the relevant policy recommendations for China's multinational companies to invest in Africa.
