[Abstract]:When we imagine the relationship between fields and scholars, we often imagine scholars as "exploiters" of intellectual property rights and cultural holders as passive "exploiters". Such imagination is presumably based on the expectation that scholars' research will be published with both fame and fortune and that cultural holders will still live in the remote countryside and receive nothing. However, if we specifically review the academic history of folk culture research, we can see that the investigators'"exploitative behavior" may have individual precedents in the field of commercially viable music, dance and drama.
