【摘要】：20世紀(jì)30年代,以埃姆斯為首的中產(chǎn)階層的白人婦女成立了美國(guó)南部婦女阻止私刑協(xié)會(huì),開(kāi)展了大量的反私刑活動(dòng),以女性的身份駁斥了私刑作為保護(hù)她們免受黑人性侵的正當(dāng)性和必要性。她們的斗爭(zhēng)不僅導(dǎo)致了私刑的減少和公共輿論的改變,而且迫使民權(quán)組織把斗爭(zhēng)重點(diǎn)由反私刑轉(zhuǎn)向反對(duì)教育中的種族隔離。她們不僅改善了南部的種族關(guān)系,成為民權(quán)運(yùn)動(dòng)的先驅(qū),而且提升了婦女的社會(huì)形象,展示了婦女在社會(huì)改革中的重要性,成為女權(quán)運(yùn)動(dòng)的先驅(qū)。
[Abstract]:In the 1930s, white women from the middle class, led by Ames, set up the Southern Women's Association to prevent lynchings and carried out a large number of anti-lynching activities. It refutes the legitimacy and necessity of lynchings as protection against black sexual assault. Their struggle not only led to a reduction in lynching and a change in public opinion, but also forced civil rights organizations to shift their focus from anti-lynching to anti-apartheid in education. They not only improved ethnic relations in the south, became pioneers of the civil rights movement, but also enhanced the social image of women, demonstrated the importance of women in social reform, and became pioneers of the feminist movement.
