[Abstract]:Osteoporosis is a systemic skeletal system disease characterized by reduced bone mass and degeneration of bone microstructure, often accompanied by bone pain, humpback, fracture, etc. At present, the main treatment for osteoporosis is drug therapy, but the side effects are larger. Physical therapy with low intensity pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS) can avoid adverse drug reactions and has no trauma. Studies have shown that LIPUS stimuli play a positive role in fracture healing, while some biological mechanisms are similar in the treatment of fractures and osteoporosis. Therefore, LIPUS may be an important potential method for the treatment of osteoporosis. In this paper, a large number of related data on the topics of "LIPUS", "fracture" and "osteoporosis" were reviewed and summarized. Based on the biological mechanism of bone tissue structure and function and the experimental study of LIPUS in the treatment of osteoporosis, this paper analyzes and proves the effective basis of LIPUS in the treatment of osteoporosis, and summarizes the present research situation of LIPUS in the treatment of osteoporosis. In order to provide new ideas and theoretical basis for the treatment of osteoporosis.
