[Abstract]:On March 17, Russia's State Duma, the lower house of parliament, passed a proposal to launch an investigation into U.S. media operating in Russia to determine whether Russian law had been violated. The proposal was put forward by Constantine Zatulin, a member of the United Russia Party. The investigation will be carried out by the Information Policy, Technology and Communications Commission of the State Duma.
