《喜福會》中的女權(quán)主義研究

譚恩美是美國著名的華裔女作家,她的第一部長篇小說即她的成名作《喜福會》一經(jīng)發(fā)表即引起轟動,獲得了美國普通讀者和評論界的廣泛關(guān)注和好評。小說描寫了四位性格、命運(yùn)迥異的中國女性拋卻國難家仇,移居美國,以及她們美國出生、成長的女兒們的經(jīng)歷。本文選擇《喜福會》這本小說,運(yùn)用女權(quán)主義文學(xué)理論,從敘事角色、敘事角度和女性覺醒幾個維度對小說中的女性主義進(jìn)行了解讀。 通過研究本論文發(fā)現(xiàn)該小說主要講述了兩代母女感情、生活的經(jīng)歷,主要角色為女性而非家庭中的男性,男性形象在小說中不是隱身,就是被塑造成猥瑣、無能的形象;故事的敘述者或?yàn)槟赣H或?yàn)榕畠?男性在小說中卻總是沉默的,沒有話語權(quán);母親生活在封建、落后的舊中國,女兒成長在現(xiàn)代、開放的美國,兩代人雖然看似差異很大,但都承受著男權(quán)社會的壓迫,母親們選擇遠(yuǎn)離故鄉(xiāng),漂泊美國,女兒們則打破婚姻的枷鎖,標(biāo)志著女性意識的覺醒。 譚恩美通過對母女兩代生活的真實(shí)描寫,表達(dá)了自己女權(quán)主義思想,同時也為女權(quán)主義文學(xué)和華裔美國文學(xué)作出了巨大的貢獻(xiàn)。
