由于工業(yè)發(fā)展和現(xiàn)代化帶來的城市化,城市已經(jīng)成為大多數(shù)人生存的空間。小說《他們》中,歐茨描寫了溫德爾一家在底特律市的生活,向讀者介紹了被作者稱為“他們”的一個社會群體,并展示了“他們”在城市中生活的艱辛以及城市和人的復(fù)雜關(guān)系:城市的進化和人的生活之間存在因果關(guān)系,同時人的生活也對典型的美國工業(yè)城市的重塑產(chǎn)生一定的作用。底特律的城市意象是理解城市與人之間關(guān)系的關(guān)鍵因素。本文期望通過分析城市意象及審查其在人們腦中意象概念的形成來研究城市與人之間的關(guān)系,闡述城市在人類心靈中的意象,以期通過城市文化精神的傳承來反思人類的思想、文化、經(jīng)濟、科技、社會發(fā)展模式,為探尋人類生存危機及其社會根源起到積極作用。在小說《他們》中,作者使用了大量的隱喻來將抽象的城市意象具象化。本文從認(rèn)知語言學(xué)視角,用意象圖示和概念隱喻理論分析書中的城市意象。首先,對全書內(nèi)容進行梳理,找出書中與各個生活于底特律的普通勞動者們頭腦中對于這個城市所形成的意象相關(guān)的57組語句,并將其按照所描述的內(nèi)容進行分類。然后,對于這57組語句進行分析,運用意象圖示和概念隱喻理論抽象出語句中關(guān)于城市意象的隱喻。最后,將所抽象出的隱喻進行分類,并通...
