奇卡娜邊緣地位—《喊女溪及其他》與《卡拉米洛披肩》評(píng)析

桑德拉·希斯內(nèi)羅絲是當(dāng)代美國(guó)文壇上著名的墨西哥裔女作家,因1984年出版的處女作《芒果街上的小屋》一舉成名,此后的《喊女溪及其他》和《卡拉米洛披肩》出版后就受到了廣泛關(guān)注和高度評(píng)價(jià)。希斯內(nèi)羅絲的作品從女性視角,細(xì)致描繪處于各年齡階段的奇卡娜在美國(guó)主流社會(huì)中的生存現(xiàn)狀和成長(zhǎng)經(jīng)歷。白人霸權(quán)主義和男權(quán)主義的雙重壓迫使得奇卡娜的家庭和社會(huì)地位長(zhǎng)期處于邊緣化狀態(tài)。希斯內(nèi)羅絲用故事揭露她們的遭遇,表達(dá)她們的心聲和對(duì)壓迫勢(shì)力的反抗。她的作品為墨西哥文學(xué)在美國(guó)主流社會(huì)中贏得了關(guān)注和重視,也為美墨兩國(guó)人民的理解溝通架起了文化橋梁。鑒于《喊女溪及其他》和《卡拉米洛披肩》的故事內(nèi)容都是在美墨邊境背景下發(fā)生的,所以本文從邊界視角出發(fā),對(duì)兩部作品中邊界和跨邊界的影響來解讀故事中的主角們的遭遇?缭轿锢磉吔绾,兩部作品中身處美國(guó)社會(huì)的主角們都感受到無依無靠、身如飄零的痛苦。她們都處于社會(huì)最底層,難以逾越的階級(jí)溝鴻和無法擺脫的種族歧視和性別歧視將她們推向社會(huì)的邊緣。經(jīng)歷了各種打擊和絕望,《喊女溪及其他》中的大部分女主角們紛紛做出了反抗,有的選擇脫離傳統(tǒng)男女關(guān)系,有的選擇拋棄女性的貞潔形象,還有的決定保持單身避免相夫...
