薩拉·沃特斯是英國一名備受矚目的現(xiàn)代作家,以創(chuàng)作維多利亞時代為背景和塑造女同性戀角色而見長。迄今為止除了有獻給父母的《小小陌生人》外,她的重要作品或多或少都與同性戀主題有關(guān)。此外,她也在許多刊物上發(fā)表關(guān)于性別、性和歷史方面的文章。盡管沃特斯的作品大多涉及比較邊緣的文學題材,但卻獲獎無數(shù),她曾三次入圍布克獎,并被格蘭塔雜志選為“20位當代最好的英語作家”之一。而《指匠情挑》作為沃特斯的代表作之一,通過莫德與蘇珊這兩位女主人公不同的視角,交替講述了成長經(jīng)歷完全不同但又有千絲萬縷聯(lián)系的兩個女孩之間愛恨交織的故事。論文主要分為三大部分:第一部分為緒論,包括關(guān)于作者薩拉·沃特斯及其作品的相關(guān)介紹、國內(nèi)外文獻綜述以及對論文框架的闡述。第二部分為論文主體部分,由四章組成。第一章為理論基礎,主要介紹的是弗洛伊德精神分析的起源、發(fā)展,以及弗洛伊德精神分析理論內(nèi)涵:人格結(jié)構(gòu)理論、本能理論和自我防御機制。第二章運用人格結(jié)構(gòu)理論對莫德失衡的人格結(jié)構(gòu)發(fā)展進行剖析,并通過莫德自我、本我與超我之間的沖突反映出莫德在自由與愛情之間抉擇的內(nèi)心掙扎全過程。第三章對莫德的生存本能與死亡本能體現(xiàn)進行分析,在生死本能的較量之下...
