探析E.M.福斯特《印度之行》中被殖民者在文化沖突中的抵制行為

《印度之行》自1924年出版以來(lái),受到了廣泛的關(guān)注。多年來(lái),學(xué)者們從各個(gè)文學(xué)角度對(duì)其進(jìn)行解析。隨著后殖民主義理論的興起,漸漸地開(kāi)始有學(xué)者運(yùn)用這一新理論對(duì)該小說(shuō)進(jìn)行分析;诤笾趁窭碚摷一裘住ぐ桶偷睦碚,本文將運(yùn)用混雜性從多個(gè)側(cè)面對(duì)《印度之行》中文化沖突問(wèn)題進(jìn)行探究。同時(shí),本文也將會(huì)就小說(shuō)中被殖民者在英印社會(huì)中對(duì)殖民文化的抵制與反抗進(jìn)行分析。本文揭示了英國(guó)政府殖民控制與文化霸權(quán)行為對(duì)印度帶來(lái)的影響。印度人民長(zhǎng)期生活在英印殖民社會(huì)下,在被迫接受英國(guó)文化的過(guò)程中,他們開(kāi)始盲目模仿英國(guó)文化,為混雜現(xiàn)象的發(fā)生提供了條件。這種現(xiàn)象造成了多層面的文化沖突,也一定程度上削弱了印度民族的文化凝聚力。此外,在與英國(guó)殖民者交往中,印度人民開(kāi)始覺(jué)醒并發(fā)現(xiàn)他們和英國(guó)殖民者之間并沒(méi)有差別,他們有權(quán)利享有同等話語(yǔ)身份,而不是只能當(dāng)英國(guó)殖民者的屬下,他們可以成為自己國(guó)家的主人。當(dāng)穆斯林與印度教徒意識(shí)到國(guó)家獨(dú)立的重要性,他們選擇團(tuán)結(jié)起來(lái)抵制以及反抗殖民文化。他們?yōu)樽约旱脑捳Z(yǔ)權(quán)而斗爭(zhēng),為爭(zhēng)取自由和解放而斗爭(zhēng),即使他們的能力有限。綜上所述,本研究的目的是通過(guò)混雜現(xiàn)象來(lái)強(qiáng)調(diào)文化認(rèn)知的重要性,強(qiáng)調(diào)被殖民者應(yīng)堅(jiān)持自己的文化身份,加強(qiáng)自身民族文化認(rèn)知,從而促進(jìn)民族文化凝聚力,共同努力實(shí)現(xiàn)民族獨(dú)立。
