[Abstract]:In the tragedy of Shakespeare, Macbeth, the characters have more dialogues, and their distinctive language shows the distinctive character of the characters. Language description is not only helpful to portray the characters but also to analyze the theme of drama. This paper interprets the dialogue art of Macbeth from the perspective of pragmatics in order to enrich the understanding of the novel. First, the speech act theory in the play is the core theory of pragmatics. The main content of pragmatics research is language communication. When the speaker speaks, the most important thing is to express the purpose of the speech and pass on the effective letter to the hearer.
