嚴(yán)歌苓小說(shuō)中的生存主題研究

【摘要】:生存主題是文學(xué)作品展現(xiàn)的一個(gè)普遍主題。自20世紀(jì)80年代中后期開(kāi)始,中國(guó)文壇涌現(xiàn)出對(duì)人的生存關(guān)注的思潮。嚴(yán)歌苓敏銳地感知到文學(xué)思潮的變動(dòng)革新,以生存為視角進(jìn)行大量的文學(xué)創(chuàng)作,表達(dá)出對(duì)底層人物、邊緣人物的關(guān)懷。這種文學(xué)情懷的形成與嚴(yán)歌苓本人獨(dú)特的經(jīng)歷息息相關(guān)。她親歷文革對(duì)人的殘害,參軍后目睹無(wú)數(shù)的生死,移居海外后心態(tài)所發(fā)生的轉(zhuǎn)變,兩次婚姻所帶來(lái)的深刻感悟,這些都讓她對(duì)生存、對(duì)人性有著非同一般的理解。在小說(shuō)中,她塑造了形形色色的不同人物,刻畫(huà)了不同的生存環(huán)境,這其中有物質(zhì)生活的窘迫,也有精神世界的迷惘。而通過(guò)對(duì)小說(shuō)人物對(duì)物質(zhì)和精神方面執(zhí)著不懈追求的描寫(xiě),嚴(yán)歌苓將生存這個(gè)抽象而又泛化的概念具象而又深刻地闡釋出來(lái)。在她的文學(xué)世界中,生存并不僅僅是活著,它更是演繹復(fù)雜人性的舞臺(tái)。嚴(yán)歌苓將對(duì)人性的理解與沉思寄寓在生存這個(gè)載體之上,通過(guò)樸實(shí)的、不乏溫情的筆觸,緩緩地傾訴給她的每一個(gè)讀者。本文遵循著以生存寫(xiě)人性的敘事邏輯,分析嚴(yán)歌苓小說(shuō)中的生存主題,從而引出對(duì)嚴(yán)歌苓本人溫情的生存觀和人性觀的探尋研究。第一章節(jié)介紹嚴(yán)歌苓本人的人生經(jīng)歷,并將其創(chuàng)作擺在新時(shí)期小說(shuō)對(duì)生存主題重視的大背景之下,將作家與整個(gè)時(shí)代、將創(chuàng)作與整個(gè)文學(xué)大背景有機(jī)貫通起來(lái)。此外,該章節(jié)以物質(zhì)和精神為視角,對(duì)嚴(yán)歌苓小說(shuō)作品中生存主題的描寫(xiě)進(jìn)行分類梳理,借以具象直觀地感受?chē)?yán)歌苓本人溫情的生存觀。第二章節(jié)則探尋潛藏在嚴(yán)歌苓小說(shuō)生存主題背后的創(chuàng)作動(dòng)機(jī)。從“異域生活”到“中國(guó)歷史”的跨越反映的不僅僅是作家本人經(jīng)歷的變化,思想的轉(zhuǎn)變,更從文學(xué)的角度證明了國(guó)家力量的強(qiáng)大,而這給予嚴(yán)歌苓充分的自信,讓她將視角又投回祖國(guó)大陸,由此孕育出一種嶄新的創(chuàng)作風(fēng)格。眾所皆知,在她的作品中有很大一部分的題材與“文革”息息相關(guān),而這與她來(lái)自童年的創(chuàng)傷性回憶密不可分。第三章就生存主題的意義來(lái)進(jìn)行闡述。文學(xué)是反映文化的一面鏡子,它具有文化層面上的價(jià)值和意義,嚴(yán)歌苓作為一個(gè)出色的海外華文作家,她的文學(xué)創(chuàng)作更能折射出中西方文化交融的現(xiàn)象。此外,“極致環(huán)境”的設(shè)計(jì)是嚴(yán)歌苓小說(shuō)創(chuàng)作的一個(gè)特點(diǎn),因?yàn)樵凇皹O致環(huán)境”下人性能夠得到最為徹底的發(fā)揮,因此這也成為她用來(lái)揭示復(fù)雜人性的一條捷徑。同時(shí)該章節(jié)還將嚴(yán)歌苓與相關(guān)當(dāng)代作家的文學(xué)創(chuàng)作進(jìn)行對(duì)比,以期能更為感性直觀地領(lǐng)悟她本人生存觀的特點(diǎn)與內(nèi)涵。
[Abstract]:The theme of existence is a universal theme in literary works. Since the mid-1980 s, Chinese literary circles have paid more attention to the existence of human beings. Yan Geling was acutely aware of the change and innovation of literary thoughts and made a great deal of literary creation from the perspective of existence to express her concern for the bottom and marginal characters. The formation of this kind of literary feelings is closely related to Yan Geling's own unique experience. She experienced the mutilation of people during the Cultural Revolution, witnessed countless life and death after joining the army, the change of mentality after emigration, and the profound feelings brought about by two marriages, all of which made her have an extraordinary understanding of survival and human nature. In the novel, she shapes different characters and depicts different living environment, which includes the distress of material life and the confusion of spiritual world. By describing the characters' persistent pursuit of matter and spirit, Yan Geling concretely and profoundly interprets the abstract and general concept of existence. In her literary world, survival is not just living, it is the stage of complex human nature. Yan Geling's understanding and contemplation of human nature are based on the carrier of existence, and through simple and tender strokes, Yan Geling slowly confides to her readers. This paper follows the narrative logic of writing human nature with existence, analyzes the theme of existence in Yan Geling's novels, and leads to the exploration and study of Yan Geling's own warm view of existence and view of human nature. The first chapter introduces Yan Geling's own life experience, and puts his creation under the background that the novel of the new period attaches importance to the survival theme, and organically connects the writer and the whole era, and the creation with the whole literary background. In addition, from the perspective of material and spirit, this chapter classifies the description of survival themes in Yan Geling's novels in order to visualize and intuitively feel Yan Geling's warm outlook on life. The second chapter explores the motive behind the existence theme of Yan Geling's novels. The leapfrogging from "exotic life" to "Chinese history" reflects not only the changes experienced by the writers themselves, but also the changes in their thinking, and they also prove the strength of the country from a literary point of view, which gives Yan Geling full confidence. Let her angle of view back to the mainland, which gave birth to a brand-new creative style. It is well known that a large part of her works is closely related to the Cultural Revolution, which is inextricably related to her traumatic memories from childhood. The third chapter expounds the significance of the theme of survival. Literature is a mirror reflecting culture, which has the value and significance of culture. As an outstanding overseas Chinese writer, Yan Geling's literary creation can reflect the phenomenon of the blending of Chinese and western cultures. In addition, the design of "extreme environment" is a characteristic of Yan Geling's novel creation, because under the "extreme environment" the humanity can get the most thorough display, therefore, this also becomes a shortcut which she uses to reveal the complex humanity. At the same time, the chapter compares Yan Geling's literary works with those of other contemporary writers in order to understand the characteristics and connotation of her own view of existence more perceptually and intuitively.
