【摘要】：《鶯鶯傳》中有"垂鬟粉黛,雙臉銷紅而已"句。其中"銷紅"是一種臨時組合,"銷"義為"融化","紅"指"脂粉",引申為"施脂粉"之義,而非描寫"紅色"的固定詞語。梳理古詩文中的"銷紅",可以發(fā)現(xiàn)其意義和使用十分靈活,且都偏向描述"紅"(花、容顏、蠟燭等等)的"消退",正面描寫"紅"的并不多,且亦多與"施脂粉"有關。此句另有作"斷紅"的版本,"銷紅"只有理解為"施脂粉"其意義才可能與"斷紅"相通。
