【摘要】：美國華裔文學(xué)發(fā)展至今,對于族裔身份的追問一直是寫作的主題之一。得益于20世紀90年代以來繁榮發(fā)展的多元文化主義,華裔美國文學(xué)在90年代得到了空前的發(fā)展,其繁榮又反過來促進了多元文化主義。作為新生代華裔作家的突出代表,任璧蓮將視野擴大到整個多民族的美國社會,探討多元文化主義語境下少數(shù)族裔的身份認同。因而,本文立足于任璧蓮前四部小說《典型的美國佬》、《夢娜在希望之鄉(xiāng)》、《誰是愛爾蘭人?》和《愛妾》,將任璧蓮的族裔寫作置于美國多元文化主義這一語境下,指出華裔移民在族裔身份認同這一歷史進程中的不斷進步和新的探索。同時,通過分析族裔性和多元文化主義的良性互動關(guān)系,本文嘗試說明任璧蓮在探索族裔身份的同時,也從文學(xué)領(lǐng)域不斷建構(gòu)美國民族特性,重新定義美國性這一主題。任璧蓮對于族裔身份的探索始于第一代華裔移民對于美國夢的追尋。由于社會經(jīng)濟條件的限制,第一代華裔移民始終難逃夾在中美之間的身份困境。而在追求美國夢的過程中,他們逐漸開始擁抱美國精神和價值,由此將自身的奮斗歷程納入美國民族敘事之中。在對于族裔身份的不斷探討中,任璧蓮并不將寫作視角局限于華裔家庭和華裔社區(qū),而是擴展到整個多種族多文化的美國社會,并在此基礎(chǔ)上指出族裔身份的流動性。這一流動性不僅僅體現(xiàn)在第二代華裔移民對于族裔身份的自由轉(zhuǎn)換,同時也體現(xiàn)在第一代移民擺脫族裔偏見、實現(xiàn)不同文化相互理解尊重的過程之中。借此,任璧蓮強調(diào)了多元文化主義對實現(xiàn)族裔流動性和建構(gòu)民族統(tǒng)一性的重要性。此外,任璧蓮對于建立在族裔通婚和混血兒基礎(chǔ)上的新型美國家庭模式的描繪,加上跨國及跨族裔領(lǐng)養(yǎng)這一話題,進一步深化了族裔身份這一主題,并豐富了多元文化主義語境下美國性的內(nèi)涵。通過分析任璧蓮小說中的族裔身份和多元文化主義,本文試圖說明在人口、資本和文化廣泛流動的全球化時代,多元文化主義為少數(shù)族裔的自我實現(xiàn)和族裔文學(xué)的發(fā)展提供了良好的社會環(huán)境。同時,多元文化主義為少數(shù)族裔尋求身份認同提供了新的可能。當(dāng)我們在多元文化主義語境下討論族裔身份的時候,我們其實是在嘗試重新定義美國人和美國性的內(nèi)涵。
[Abstract]:The development of Chinese American literature so far, for the ethnic identity of questioning has been one of the themes of writing. Thanks to the prosperity and development of multiculturalism since 1990s, Chinese American literature has gained unprecedented development in 90s, which in turn promotes the prosperity of multiculturalism. As the outstanding representative of the new generation of Chinese writers, Gish Jen will view extended to the entire nation of American society, to explore the identity of ethnic minorities in multicultural context. Therefore, this paper is based on the four Gish Jen novels "typical American", "Mona in the promised land", "who's Irish? > and < > this context the concubine, Gish Jen the ethnic literature in American multiculturalism, pointed out that the Chinese immigrants agree with that in the historical process of continuous progress and new exploration in ethnic identity. At the same time, through the analysis of ethnic and multicultural The interactive relationship between Marxism, this paper attempts to explain in exploring Gish Jen ethnic identity at the same time, also from the field of literature continue to construct the national identity, redefining the theme of American. As for the use of ethnic identity exploration began in the first generation of Chinese immigrants searching for the American dream. Because of the social economic conditions, identity dilemma the first generation of Chinese immigrants always escape sandwiched between China and the United States. While in the pursuit of American dream, they gradually began to embrace the American spirit and value, which will be included in the struggle of its American national narrative. In the study for ethnic identity, GISH Jen will not writing perspective focused on Chinese family and the Chinese community, but extended to the whole multi racial culture of American society, and on this basis that the liquidity of ethnic identity. This liquidity is not only reflected in the article Free transfer of the two generation of Chinese immigrants for ethnic identity, but also get rid of ethnic prejudice in the first generation, to achieve mutual understanding of different cultures with respect to the process. Therefore, Gish Jen emphasized multiculturalism to realize the importance of ethnic mobility and construction of national unity. In addition, Gish Jen for the establishment of hybrid based paint the new American family patterns in ethnic intermarriage and, together with the international and inter ethnic adoption of this topic, further deepen the theme of ethnic identity, and enrich the connotation of American multiculturalism context. Through the analysis of the novel Gish Jen's ethnic identity and multiculturalism, this article tries to explain the population the flow of capital and extensive culture, the era of globalization, multiculturalism, ethnic minorities and self realization of ethnic literature development provides a good social environment. At the same time, multiculturalism provides new possibilities for ethnic minorities to seek identity. When we discuss ethnic identity in multiculturalism context, we are actually trying to redefine the connotation of American and American sex.
