《德伯家的苔絲》原型解讀

【摘要】:托馬斯·哈代作為英國(guó)維多利亞時(shí)代最后一位偉大作家,其小說(shuō)《德伯家的苔絲》自1891年問(wèn)世以來(lái)就受到廣泛關(guān)注。雖然小說(shuō)在問(wèn)世之初曾遭到毀譽(yù)參半的評(píng)價(jià),但是隨著時(shí)間的流逝,這部作品反而愈發(fā)展現(xiàn)出迷人的光彩。從神話原型批評(píng)的角度對(duì)這部小說(shuō)進(jìn)行解讀,可以加深和拓展對(duì)這部作品的理解,發(fā)現(xiàn)作品在人物形象和曲折情節(jié)背后所隱藏的潛在的原型模式和作者的真實(shí)意圖,探究出一部作品連接另一部作品的原型結(jié)構(gòu),從而將我們的文學(xué)經(jīng)驗(yàn)合為一個(gè)整體。哈代借助神話原型的回歸,不僅為人物活動(dòng)提供了更加廣闊的背景,使人物形象更加栩栩如生,而且賦予了神話原型一定的現(xiàn)代內(nèi)涵,使小說(shuō)具有了借古諷今的現(xiàn)實(shí)意義。文章以《德伯家的苔絲》為研究對(duì)象,從神話原型批評(píng)的角度研究該作品,從小說(shuō)中的人物原型、情節(jié)原型、意象原型和環(huán)境原型這四個(gè)方面進(jìn)行分析,在分析的基礎(chǔ)上探究哈代將神話原型移用到作品創(chuàng)作上的動(dòng)因,并對(duì)神話原型賦予小說(shuō)的價(jià)值和意義進(jìn)行研究,希望能幫助讀者更加全方位地理解哈代真實(shí)的創(chuàng)作意圖。
[Abstract]:Thomas Hardy was the last great Victorian writer in England. Her novel Tess of the d'Urbervilles has received wide attention since its publication in 1891. Although the novel was evaluated with a mixed reputation at the beginning of its publication, it has gone by with the passage of time. On the contrary, the novel shows more and more charming brilliance. The interpretation of the novel from the perspective of mythological archetypal criticism can deepen and expand the understanding of the work. Discover the latent archetypal pattern and the author's real intention behind the characters and twists and turns, and explore the archetypal structure of one work connecting another. By combining our literary experience as a whole, Hardy not only provides a broader background for the activities of characters, but also makes the characters more lifelike with the help of the return of mythical archetypes. Moreover, it endows the mythological archetype with a certain modern connotation and makes the novel have the realistic significance of alleging the past and the present. The article studies the novel from the perspective of mythological archetype criticism with Tess of the Decaux as the object of study. From the characters prototype, plot prototype, image prototype and environmental prototype of the four aspects of the analysis, on the basis of the analysis to explore Hardy's mythological archetypes used in the creation of the cause. The author also studies the value and significance of mythological archetypes in order to help readers understand Hardy's true creative intention more comprehensively.
