【摘要】：不同民族采用不同的語言形式來表達唯一范疇。唯一性范疇副詞在表達事物唯一性上發(fā)揮著舉足輕重的作用。以往對唯一性范疇副詞的研究多囿于對單個或幾個類似副詞的句法、語義描寫。本文從語義功能、句法分布、語用選擇三個層面對漢英唯一性范疇副詞進行整體對比研究。結(jié)果發(fā)現(xiàn):一、在語義指向方向上,英語唯一性范疇副詞既可指前也可指后,而漢語唯一性范疇副詞只能指后,這主要是由于英語唯一性范疇副詞在句中的句法位置更加靈活。其次,在語義指向數(shù)量上,二者均可多指,而不同的語義指向會產(chǎn)生語用歧義。但是當(dāng)英語唯一性范疇副詞指向前面的成分為單個詞項時,句子則沒有歧義。語用前提的不同是導(dǎo)致語義指向不同的深層動因。二、從句法分布上來看,漢語唯一性范疇副詞具有相對較固定的位置,對體詞性成分和謂詞性成分的選擇有較多的限制;而英語唯一性范疇副詞的位置則較為靈活,位于句首、句中及句末皆可。三、語用層面上,漢語唯一范疇副詞的語體色彩要遠比英語唯一范疇副詞強烈。在漢語里,口語體常選擇唯一范疇副詞“光”,書面語體則更傾向選擇“僅”或“唯”;而在英語中,無論是口語體還是書面語體,都更加傾向選擇“only”和“just”。其次,漢語唯一性范疇副詞可表達主觀小量、主觀適量和主觀大量,而英語唯一性范疇副詞只能只能表達主觀小量和主觀適量。在表達主觀性上,漢語唯一性范疇副詞更能體現(xiàn)言者的主觀性。四、在翻譯中,漢英唯一性范疇副詞的差異往往通過翻譯轉(zhuǎn)換的手段進行處理,具體包括結(jié)構(gòu)轉(zhuǎn)換、類別轉(zhuǎn)換、單位轉(zhuǎn)換等。本研究具有一定的理論和實踐意義。理論上,此對比研究加深了對漢英唯一性范疇副詞功能特征的系統(tǒng)認(rèn)識,推進了漢語和英語的共性和個性問題的研究。在實踐上,本研究對漢英唯一性范疇副詞的教學(xué)、漢英互譯以及機器翻譯具有一定的參考價值。
