【摘要】：作為邊緣文學(xué)的科幻小說(shuō)于19世紀(jì)末20世紀(jì)初引入中國(guó),在其后的大半個(gè)世紀(jì)中,文人和學(xué)者對(duì)國(guó)外的科幻小說(shuō)的翻譯可謂歷經(jīng)波折。十一屆三中全會(huì)以后,中國(guó)開(kāi)啟了各方面全面發(fā)展的新時(shí)期,科幻小說(shuō)的翻譯也迎來(lái)了一次高潮。國(guó)內(nèi)對(duì)科幻小說(shuō)譯介的研究大多集中在清末民初階段,對(duì)新時(shí)期科幻翻譯的研究相對(duì)較少。在已有的研究中,大多數(shù)研究者是對(duì)不同版本的譯文進(jìn)行比較分析,而缺少對(duì)整個(gè)時(shí)期翻譯情況的全面考量。因此對(duì)新時(shí)期科幻小說(shuō)的譯介進(jìn)行研究十分有必要。皮姆的翻譯多元因果論提出了譯史研究的多元視角,將四種原因綜合起來(lái)進(jìn)行考慮,將翻譯史看作立體的、變化的、動(dòng)態(tài)而非平面的、靜態(tài)的或機(jī)械性的歷史。本文擬以皮姆的多元因果論為理論視角,從材質(zhì)因、目的因、形式因和動(dòng)力因四個(gè)層面探析促成本次翻譯高潮出現(xiàn)的動(dòng)因。在材質(zhì)因方面,主要是原語(yǔ)文本的大量出現(xiàn)(西方科幻發(fā)展的黃金時(shí)期)、改革開(kāi)放后國(guó)內(nèi)有利的引進(jìn)環(huán)境以及原著作者和文本題材對(duì)原語(yǔ)文本選擇的影響,其中非語(yǔ)言的材質(zhì)因占據(jù)重要地位;在目的因方面,從譯文的使用者和接受者的角度進(jìn)行闡釋,譯本的使用者力圖改變科幻小說(shuō)在中國(guó)的畸形地位,還原科幻小說(shuō)的文學(xué)本質(zhì),接受者在文化大革命后迫切需要滿足其閱讀需求;在形式因方面,主要從翻譯規(guī)范角度分析,當(dāng)時(shí)影響較大的仍然是嚴(yán)復(fù)的“信”、“達(dá)”、“雅”;最后,從譯者和出版機(jī)構(gòu)入手探討了動(dòng)力因。最后本文得出新時(shí)期科幻小說(shuō)翻譯高潮現(xiàn)象的出現(xiàn),是材質(zhì)因、目的因、形式因和動(dòng)力因多種因素合力而成,其中任何一種原因都不能缺少,且都不能成為具有排他性質(zhì)的主導(dǎo)因素。
