長期以來,誤譯都是被徹底否定的。傳統(tǒng)翻譯觀念認(rèn)為,翻譯應(yīng)該盡可能的遵循忠實(shí)和對(duì)等原則,翻譯應(yīng)該亦步亦趨地再現(xiàn)原文的精神。但是在翻譯實(shí)踐中,翻譯家都在或多或少地進(jìn)行著有意誤譯。本文基于后殖民主義理論,探討了有意誤譯。由于權(quán)力差異的存在,前殖民地國家嘗試?yán)糜幸庹`譯,即大幅度改變?cè)牡恼Z言表達(dá)方式,文學(xué)形象,文學(xué)語境等手段進(jìn)行對(duì)原文有意的扭曲,以達(dá)到反抗前殖民者的文化遺存,改變本土邊緣地位,重塑文化身份,找到真正屬于自己的文化品格和文化精神的目的。通過后殖民主義翻譯理論與翻譯實(shí)踐中有意誤譯的結(jié)合研究,我們發(fā)現(xiàn)有意誤譯在后殖民主義翻譯中不僅是行之有效的翻譯方法和策略,而且它還有著重大的意義:讀者趨向,對(duì)現(xiàn)實(shí)產(chǎn)生預(yù)期作用,使原文獲得新生,經(jīng)濟(jì)利益趨向以及對(duì)文化交流產(chǎn)生的深遠(yuǎn)影響。然而我們也必須承認(rèn),有意的誤譯也必須是尊重客觀知識(shí),以客觀事實(shí)為前提的,這是其與亂譯存在的本質(zhì)區(qū)別。
