新聞報道是現(xiàn)代社會信息溝通的最重要的媒體。新聞報道的語言本身受到文化、時代意識形態(tài)和個人社會階級背景的影響,并不是完全中性的。盡管西方新聞界宣稱其在新聞報道中的中立態(tài)度,但新聞報道不僅傳遞了所報道的事件的事實,也反映了報道人本人對所報事件的態(tài)度。這態(tài)度以及所反映的意識形態(tài),通過所謂的中性報道,越來越多地影響著人們的價值取向、政治態(tài)度和生活追求。新聞在人們的生活中發(fā)揮著越來越重要的作用,人們主要是通過新聞媒體來認(rèn)識社會、國家和世界。這種影響主要是通過新聞的語言表述來完成的。本研究的目的就是通過分析新聞?wù)Z言,指出新聞報道中的意識形態(tài)傾向,說明完全中性的報道是不可能的。本研究所使用的主要工具是批判性語篇分析。批評性語篇分析作為語言學(xué)的一個分支,主要是以韓禮德的系統(tǒng)功能語言學(xué)理論為基礎(chǔ),借助語言學(xué)、社會學(xué)、心理學(xué)和傳播學(xué)理論來揭露意識形態(tài)對于語篇的影響,語篇之于意識形態(tài)的反作用,以及意識形態(tài)和語篇如何源于社會結(jié)構(gòu)和權(quán)力關(guān)系并為不同的權(quán)力集團服務(wù)。本研究的重要意義在于,通過提高語言意識和對各種語篇進行批判性欣賞的能力,人們可以更理智地處理不同意識形態(tài)取向的新聞報道,識別新聞報道背后的不同意識形態(tài)...
