隨著中國在世界舞臺(tái)上的重要地位日益凸顯,越來越多的人開始對(duì)有著五千多年悠久歷史的中國傳統(tǒng)文化著迷,而中國傳統(tǒng)文化的精髓是儒學(xué),它是中華民族奉獻(xiàn)給全人類的寶貴財(cái)富之一。儒家思想對(duì)中國文化的影響迄今已有兩千多年。《論語》是儒家學(xué)說的代表作,它對(duì)中國人的影響,是其它任何一部作品都無法比擬的。因此,要想把中國的傳統(tǒng)文化推廣到世界,《論語》的翻譯就成了一座讓世界了解中國文化的必不可少的橋梁。自十六世紀(jì)末期以來,西方傳教士或?qū)W者就開始嘗試以各種文字把孔子的思想介紹給西方世界。三百多年過去了,其間出現(xiàn)了眾多譯本。譯者受不同歷史文化背景、翻譯目的以及其他多方面因素的影響,《論語》的英譯本也各具特色。國內(nèi)的許多學(xué)者對(duì)這些英譯本進(jìn)行了大量的研究,但大多集中在對(duì)譯文質(zhì)量研究或者多譯文比較等方面。本篇論文則將重點(diǎn)放在了《論語》翻譯時(shí)譯者的責(zé)任方面。將對(duì)林語堂和林戊蓀兩位語言大師在不同時(shí)期對(duì)《論語》的翻譯進(jìn)行研究比較,借此探討典籍翻譯中譯者的責(zé)任。本篇論文共分為五個(gè)部分,第一部分為引言,簡(jiǎn)要介紹本文的主題,研究目的和研究方法。第二部分介紹譯者的責(zé)任。無論何時(shí),譯者在翻譯過程中都肩負(fù)著許多責(zé)任,而在世界文化日趨多...
