名詞和動(dòng)詞是大多數(shù)語言中最重要的詞類,因而名動(dòng)之間的轉(zhuǎn)換也一直是研究者關(guān)注的焦點(diǎn)。事實(shí)上,英語名詞動(dòng)用自從語言出現(xiàn)以來就已經(jīng)存在了,至今它仍然是擴(kuò)大詞匯來源的重要手段。因此名詞動(dòng)用是非常有價(jià)值的研究對(duì)象,有助于我們進(jìn)一步研究語言創(chuàng)新現(xiàn)象的本質(zhì)。回顧名詞動(dòng)用的研究歷程,我們發(fā)現(xiàn)結(jié)構(gòu)主義語言學(xué)派、轉(zhuǎn)換生成語言學(xué)派、認(rèn)知語言學(xué)派和功能語言學(xué)派都曾經(jīng)從不同的理論出發(fā),不同程度地對(duì)名詞動(dòng)用現(xiàn)象做出描寫和闡釋,他們的努力對(duì)于更好地理解這一語言現(xiàn)象做出了很大的貢獻(xiàn)。然而,已有的名詞動(dòng)用研究存在以下方面的局限性。一是,觀察充分性不足。學(xué)者所用的大多數(shù)名轉(zhuǎn)動(dòng)詞都援引1979年Clark & Clark收集的1300個(gè)詞,語料稀缺而又陳舊,急需一些新鮮語料的加入。二,描寫充分性不足。大部分研究是在孤立的詞語和句子層面來考察名詞動(dòng)用現(xiàn)象的語法特征,而忽略了其在語篇、語用層面的表現(xiàn),缺乏對(duì)該類詞語在不同文本類型里分布與出現(xiàn)頻率方面的描寫。三,解釋充分性不足。名動(dòng)轉(zhuǎn)類涉及到語言學(xué)研究的許多方面,而之前的研究大多囿于某一單一角度或理論,缺乏跨學(xué)科、多角度的研究,必然不能對(duì)其進(jìn)行全面地描寫與闡釋�；谇叭说�...
