翻譯制度化與制度化翻譯

【摘要】：翻譯的社會屬性正是"翻譯學"和"社會學"交接、交叉的根本原因。本文借助布迪厄的社會學理論和研究方法,以翻譯生產(chǎn)的社會機制為著眼點,對依托institution的翻譯實踐加以考察。我們發(fā)現(xiàn)"制度化"是翻譯活動被賦予"使命"色彩的必然趨勢,翻譯生產(chǎn)被納入國家政治體制中,譯本出版和流通被納入國家文化生產(chǎn)之中。翻譯制度化是多種因素合力運作的結(jié)果,一方面利于翻譯的集約化生產(chǎn),保證譯本的權(quán)威性,確保對譯者行為的指導和監(jiān)控;另一方面又可能限制譯者主體性的發(fā)揮,導致譯本僵化。翻譯走向制度化之后,產(chǎn)出的便是制度化翻譯,與市場化的翻譯相對,其本質(zhì)是通過政治化和經(jīng)典化手段建構(gòu)譯本的權(quán)威,實現(xiàn)國家的政治價值目標。翻譯制度化與制度化翻譯是過程與結(jié)果的關(guān)系,為翻譯社會學研究提供了新視野。
[Abstract]:The social attribute of translation is the fundamental reason for the transition and intersection of translation studies and sociology. With the help of Bourdieu's sociological theory and research methods, this paper focuses on the social mechanism of translation production and examines the translation practice based on institution. We find that "institutionalization" is an inevitable trend for translation activities to be given a "mission" color. Translation production is incorporated into the national political system, and the publication and circulation of translations are brought into national cultural production. The institutionalization of translation is the result of a combination of many factors. On the one hand, it is conducive to the intensive production of translation, ensuring the authoritativeness of the translation and ensuring the guidance and monitoring of the translator's behavior; on the other hand, it may restrict the translator's subjectivity. It results in the fossilization of the translation. In contrast to the market-oriented translation, the essence of the translation is to construct the authority of the translation by means of politicization and canonization, and to realize the political value goal of the country. Institutionalization and institutionalization of translation is the relationship between process and result, which provides a new perspective for the study of sociology of translation.
