【摘要】：本文的研究對象是澳籍傳教士馬守真(Robert Henry Mathews,1877-1970)編撰的《馬守真華英字典》。《馬守真華英字典》初版以來,到1979年重印10次。特別是在二戰(zhàn)時(shí)期,趙元任親自對其進(jìn)行修訂。趙元任的修訂使其在二戰(zhàn)戰(zhàn)火中被埋沒的詞典重新發(fā)揮作用,在二戰(zhàn)期間幫組美國本土學(xué)生和軍隊(duì)人員學(xué)習(xí)漢語,為反法西斯戰(zhàn)爭的勝利做出貢獻(xiàn)。周有光將其稱為"第一個(gè)里程碑"。就是這樣一部重要的詞典,國內(nèi)外學(xué)界對于它的研究非常少,連作者的基本信息如國籍,在介紹文字中都常有謬誤,更鮮有文章分析詞典本身。本研究因此以《馬守真華英字典》作為研究對象,挖掘詞典作者信息,在詞典學(xué)和雙語詞典學(xué)的框架內(nèi)對這部詞典的宏觀結(jié)構(gòu)和微觀結(jié)構(gòu)進(jìn)行全面的考察,探討它對藍(lán)本詞典的沿革與創(chuàng)新,并且對趙元任的修訂和貢獻(xiàn)進(jìn)行考察,最后客觀評價(jià)其在雙語詞典史上的價(jià)值。全文共分五章:第一章緒論,闡述了此前學(xué)界對馬守真和他的《馬守真華英字典》的研究概況與《馬守真華英字典》的研究方法;第二章馬修斯與《馬守真華英字典》,詳細(xì)地介紹了著者馬修斯的情況和《馬守真華英字典》的版本情況,為下一步的全面研究做準(zhǔn)備。第三章《馬守真華英字典》,從詞典學(xué)角度詳細(xì)探討了《馬守真華英字典》的宏觀結(jié)構(gòu)和《馬守真華英字典》的微觀結(jié)構(gòu),以及對藍(lán)本詞典的沿革與創(chuàng)新。第四章是趙元任與《馬守真華英字典》的修訂,從對錯(cuò)誤的勘定、增加例證和同義詞、對"兒化詞"的修訂、對輕聲詞的修訂和對檢索系統(tǒng)的修訂5個(gè)方面進(jìn)行介紹。第五章是對《馬守真華英字典》的影響研究。通過WorldCat檢索數(shù)據(jù)庫搜索在全世界圖書館館藏的版本情況,分析《馬守真華英字典》的版本情況,以此說明。這部字典在收詞、義項(xiàng)劃分、釋義例證方面特點(diǎn)鮮明。在收詞方面,古今兼收,但偏重現(xiàn)代;義項(xiàng)具有規(guī)范性和共時(shí)性;例證典型實(shí)用,多口語詞;義項(xiàng)的釋義準(zhǔn)確、精煉,譯文準(zhǔn)確精當(dāng)。尤其經(jīng)過趙元任的修訂,使其在美國更受歡迎。
[Abstract]:The research object of this paper is "Ma Shouzhen Hua Ying Dictionary" compiled by Australian missionary Robert Henry Mathewsn 1877-1970. Since the first edition of Ma Shouzhen Hua Ying Dictionary, it has been reprinted 10 times by 1979. Especially during World War II, Zhao Yuanren personally revised it. The revision of Zhao Yuanren brought back into play its dictionary, which was buried in the war of World War II, helping groups of native American students and military personnel to learn Chinese during World War II and contributing to the victory of the anti-fascist war. Zhou Youguang calls it the "first milestone." It is such an important dictionary that scholars at home and abroad have done very little research on it. Even the author's basic information, such as nationality, is often mistaken in the introductory text, and there are few articles analyzing the dictionary itself. Therefore, this study takes Ma Shouzhen Hua English Dictionary as the research object, excavates the dictionary author information, and makes a comprehensive investigation of the macro and micro structure of the dictionary within the framework of lexicography and bilingual lexicography. This paper discusses the evolution and innovation of the original dictionary, the revision and contribution of Zhao Yuanren, and finally evaluates its value in the history of bilingual dictionaries. The full text is divided into five chapters: the first chapter is an introduction to the previous academic research on Ma Shouzhen and his "Ma Shouzhen Hua Ying Dictionary" and the research methods of "Ma Shouzhen Hua Ying Dictionary"; Chapter two, Matthews and Ma Shouzhen Hua English Dictionary, introduces the author Matthews and the edition of Ma Shouzhen Hua English Dictionary in detail, and prepares for the next comprehensive study. Chapter three, Ma Shouzhen Hua English Dictionary, discusses in detail the macro structure of Ma Shouzhen Hua English Dictionary and the microstructure of Ma Shouzhen Hua English Dictionary, as well as the evolution and innovation of the original dictionary from the perspective of lexicography. The fourth chapter is the revision of Zhao Yuanren and Ma Shouzhen Hua English Dictionary. It introduces five aspects, including the wrong assignment, the addition of examples and synonyms, the revision of "Erhua ci", the revision of softly spoken words and the revision of retrieval system. The fifth chapter is a study on the influence of Ma Shouzhen Hua English Dictionary. This paper analyzes the edition of Ma Shouzhen Hua Ying Dictionary by searching for the editions of the library collections in the world through the WorldCat search database. This dictionary has distinct features in terms of word collection, meaning division, and illustrative interpretation. In terms of word collection, both ancient and modern, but emphasis on modern; the meaning of normative and synchronic; typical practical examples, many spoken words; the meaning of the interpretation of accurate, refined, accurate translation. In particular, the revision of the Zhao Yuanren makes it more popular in the United States.
