再論典籍復(fù)譯的必然性

【摘要】:本文從過程哲學(xué)視角闡述典籍復(fù)譯的必然性,并探索復(fù)譯對(duì)中國文化對(duì)外傳播的意義。在過程哲學(xué)視域下,翻譯活動(dòng)中各基本要素即現(xiàn)實(shí)存在都是生成過程,而且相互作用,形成一個(gè)復(fù)雜的關(guān)系網(wǎng)。由于原文、譯者、讀者、譯語文化等現(xiàn)實(shí)存在都是不斷生成的,處于這一關(guān)系網(wǎng)中的譯文也必然不斷生成。同時(shí),由于創(chuàng)造性是生成過程的原動(dòng)力,譯本的生成過程是向新穎性動(dòng)態(tài)演進(jìn)的一種創(chuàng)造性發(fā)展,因此不存在終極譯本。在特定歷史時(shí)期,復(fù)譯賦予典籍以契合歷史語境的新形式,利于促進(jìn)中國傳統(tǒng)文化在異域的接受。從長遠(yuǎn)來看,復(fù)譯本不斷生成,利于在譯語文化中逐漸建構(gòu)中國文化價(jià)值體系。
[Abstract]:This paper expounds the inevitability of retranslation of classical books from the perspective of process philosophy and explores the significance of retranslation to the spread of Chinese culture. From the perspective of process philosophy, the basic elements of translation, namely, the existence of reality, are all generative processes and interact with each other to form a complex network of relations. Since the source text, the translator, the reader, the target language culture and so on exist constantly, the translation in this network must also produce constantly. At the same time, because creativity is the driving force of the generation process, the generation process of the translation is a kind of creative development to the dynamic evolution of novelty, so there is no ultimate translation. In a specific historical period, retranslation endows the classics with a new form suited to the historical context, which is conducive to promoting the acceptance of Chinese traditional culture in foreign lands. In the long run, multiple versions are constantly generated, which is conducive to the gradual construction of Chinese cultural value system in the target language culture.
