【摘要】：museum是西方近代文化的代表,近代博物館知識(shí)、理念和思想傳入中國(guó)面臨的第一個(gè)問(wèn)題就是狹隘意義上的翻譯問(wèn)題,而通過(guò)考察museum一詞在19世紀(jì)的翻譯及使用情況,可以從一個(gè)側(cè)面窺見(jiàn)博物館知識(shí)早期傳播的景象。在museum及其對(duì)應(yīng)西方詞匯的翻譯過(guò)程中,中西方人士均參與其中,基督教新教傳教士、天主教傳教士、林則徐及其翻譯班子等都是其間最重要的推動(dòng)力量。通過(guò)對(duì)19世紀(jì)外漢字典的研究發(fā)現(xiàn),至1844年,museum一詞后來(lái)被廣泛采用的"博物館"、"博物院"兩種漢語(yǔ)譯名均已出現(xiàn),但在這一時(shí)期的中文報(bào)刊中,"博物院"一詞的使用頻率要遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)高于"博物館"。同時(shí),將museum翻譯為"博物院"的譯法也逐漸被晚清時(shí)期的中國(guó)士人廣泛采用。由此,museum這一西方文化的舶來(lái)品完成了其本土化的第一步。
[Abstract]:Museum is the representative of western modern culture. The first problem that modern museum knowledge, ideas and ideas come into China is the translation problem in narrow sense.The early spread of museum knowledge can be seen from a side view.In the process of translating museum and its corresponding western words, both Chinese and western people participate in it. Protestant missionaries, Catholic missionaries, Lin Zexu and his translation team are the most important driving forces.Through the study of the Chinese dictionary in the 19th century, it was found that by 1844 when the word "museum" was widely used, both Chinese translations of "museum" had appeared.But in the Chinese press of this period, the term "museum" was used more frequently than "museum".At the same time, the translation of museum into Museum was widely used by Chinese scholars in the late Qing Dynasty.
