【摘要】：正當今語言學有兩大派別,一是形式主義,二是功能主義。形式主義以美國語言學家喬姆斯基的轉(zhuǎn)換生成語法為代表,其將語言視為一個實在本體,從語言本身及語言內(nèi)部展開研究。功能主義以英國語言學家韓禮德的系統(tǒng)功能語法為代表,其將語言學視為與社會發(fā)生聯(lián)系的工具,從語境與社會功能方面展開研究。二者都研究語言的本質(zhì)是什么,但研究角度和方法有很大差異,這恰恰使二者能相互補充。本文比較研究喬姆斯基與韓禮德的語言觀,為讀者走進語言學提供幫助。
[Abstract]:Now there are two major schools of linguistics: formalism and functionalism. Formalism is represented by Chomsky's transformational generative grammar, which regards language as a reality. Functionalism is represented by Halliday's systemic functional Grammar, which regards linguistics as a tool to connect with society. From the aspect of context and social function, they both study the essence of language, but the research angle and method are very different, which makes them complement each other. This paper makes a comparative study of Chomsky and Halliday's views on language. To help readers walk into linguistics.
