【摘要】：隨著女權(quán)運(yùn)動(dòng)在西方的發(fā)展,女性主義理論在學(xué)術(shù)界激起了強(qiáng)烈的反響,20世紀(jì)70年代翻譯界著名的“文化轉(zhuǎn)向”又激發(fā)了女性主義與翻譯中文化研究的結(jié)合,形成日后頗具影響的女性主義翻譯理論。女性主義翻譯觀把翻譯視為彰顯女性身份的政治行為以及爭(zhēng)取譯者和女性地位的手段,著眼于從性別視角研究翻譯,強(qiáng)調(diào)男女譯者的性別差異并試圖揭開性別差異與翻譯的關(guān)系。 《紫色》是一部女性主義暢銷小說,在不同膚色、不同階層和不同國家的婦女中都大受歡迎,曾先后在中國被四位不同性別譯者翻譯成中文,在翻譯界造成很大影響。筆者選取了其中兩位的作品——男性譯者楊仁敬,女性譯者陶潔的譯作進(jìn)行對(duì)比分析,提出以下問題：①對(duì)于相同作品,男女譯者的翻譯是否體現(xiàn)性別差異?②如果回答是肯定的,是否女譯者的譯本更能體現(xiàn)女性主義意識(shí)?在男性譯者在譯作中是否一定存在忽視或壓抑女性聲音的傾向?針對(duì)以上問題,在女性主義翻譯理論指導(dǎo)下,作者以原文為參照,從兩譯本中選取了55條具有明顯差異的語料,采用對(duì)比分析的方法,從譯者序、小說內(nèi)容的敘述特點(diǎn)、人物刻畫和性描寫四個(gè)方面進(jìn)行詳盡分析。研究結(jié)果發(fā)現(xiàn)： ①男女譯者的譯作體現(xiàn)出明顯的性別差異,女性譯者陶潔在翻譯中體現(xiàn)出比男性譯者楊仁敬更強(qiáng)烈的性別意識(shí)；②女譯者從女性的角度及女性自身所特有的生命體驗(yàn)角度對(duì)譯文進(jìn)行主觀的處理,而男性譯者采用了含有貶義的詞語貶低女性身份及地位；③男性譯者楊仁敬在翻譯中確實(shí)存在忽視和壓抑女性聲音的現(xiàn)象；④在性描寫中,兩譯者在性意識(shí)方面達(dá)成共識(shí)。男性譯者通過客觀直白的翻譯使得女性的“身體被聽見”,女譯者在性描寫中規(guī)避的態(tài)度更體現(xiàn)出其強(qiáng)烈的女性主義意識(shí)。通過研究本文還發(fā)現(xiàn)在反抗父權(quán)制度,提高女性身份地位的同時(shí),女譯者陶潔也存在受父權(quán)制影響的翻譯。
