哥特小說(shuō)作為一種特殊的文學(xué)體裁以其獨(dú)特的藝術(shù)特征引起了文學(xué)界越來(lái)越多的關(guān)注。本論文旨在將英國(guó)作家?jiàn)W斯卡·王爾德的小說(shuō)《道林格雷的畫(huà)像》與美國(guó)作家威廉·福克納的小說(shuō)《押沙龍,押沙龍!》中的哥特特征進(jìn)行比較研究。通過(guò)對(duì)兩本小說(shuō)中所具有的哥特特征,即恐怖氛圍；惡棍英雄,不幸女人,惡魔等哥特式人物；果報(bào),畸戀,死亡等哥特式主題,及孕育兩本小說(shuō)的哥特土壤進(jìn)行比較研究后,論文證明兩部作品從哥特視角進(jìn)行比較研究的可行性；其次,此嘗試性研究為英美哥特式小說(shuō)的差異性與共同性原則構(gòu)建了深入探究的基礎(chǔ)；同時(shí),可以引發(fā)思考,從而探索出英美哥特類文學(xué)作品間互補(bǔ)交流的平臺(tái),展示哥特小說(shuō)獨(dú)特的文學(xué)價(jià)值。
