錢鐘書的批判現(xiàn)實主義巨著《圍城》一經(jīng)出版,就在國內(nèi)外引起了巨大的轟動。該書出現(xiàn)了數(shù)目眾多的讓人耳目一新的文化負(fù)載詞,這些文化負(fù)載詞從不同的角度折射出錢鐘書的愛國主義和他的深刻的人生觀與價值觀。作為《圍城》的一大特色,文化負(fù)載詞鮮明地反映了中國文化的個性特征。但是,如何忠實地翻譯這些文化負(fù)載詞成為了譯者的主要障礙。因此,探討這些文化負(fù)載詞的翻譯策略具有重要的現(xiàn)實意義。這篇論文的研究是在翻譯策略和文化翻譯的理論相聯(lián)系的基礎(chǔ)上展開的。文化翻譯是翻譯學(xué)的一個新的領(lǐng)域。該理論最早出現(xiàn)在在二十世紀(jì)九十年代的西方翻譯界。1990年,Susan Bassnett和Andre Lefevere提出了翻譯的“文化轉(zhuǎn)向”,進(jìn)一步明確了在翻譯過程中文化的參與。翻譯的過程不僅僅是語言的轉(zhuǎn)換過程,更是文化的轉(zhuǎn)換過程,翻譯等值即原語與譯語在文化功能上的等值。這個理論不但給翻譯界人士以新的啟示,而且使得翻譯理論進(jìn)入全新領(lǐng)域。文化翻譯學(xué)派的出現(xiàn)無疑給翻譯界注入新的活力,它也給文化負(fù)載詞的翻譯策略的選擇賦予了新意。在翻譯文化負(fù)載詞時,譯者們通常用兩種文化翻譯的方法,即歸化與異化。這兩個翻譯策略,并不是像很多人想的那樣,是...
