譯者研究是翻譯史研究的重要組成部分。目前國(guó)內(nèi)外翻譯研究關(guān)注的重點(diǎn)仍然是翻譯的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)和翻譯的技巧,而對(duì)翻譯的主體——譯者缺乏關(guān)注。目前還沒有專為譯者展開的系統(tǒng)的、有深度的研究。已經(jīng)開展的譯者研究多把重點(diǎn)放在譯者該遵循什么樣的翻譯標(biāo)準(zhǔn),以及怎樣對(duì)譯作進(jìn)行評(píng)價(jià)。而對(duì)譯者影響的研究是個(gè)相對(duì)被忽視的領(lǐng)域。其實(shí)無論譯者是否遵循某一翻譯標(biāo)準(zhǔn),其譯作的作用和影響都是毋庸置疑的。目前的譯者研究多數(shù)以描述性分析為主,帶有主觀性。常見的步驟是：譯者生平介紹→譯作列舉和分析→翻譯思想分析→影響和成就評(píng)價(jià)。為了彌補(bǔ)譯者研究主觀性的缺陷,我們應(yīng)該逐步向描述與量性分析結(jié)合的方法論轉(zhuǎn)變。本文借助文獻(xiàn)計(jì)量分析方法與定性分析相結(jié)合研究第四次翻譯高潮中文學(xué)譯者的影響力。首先作者對(duì)中國(guó)歷史上不同領(lǐng)域的譯者的貢獻(xiàn)進(jìn)行闡述,然后比較四次翻譯高潮中譯者隊(duì)伍的特征,分析了第四次翻譯高潮中譯者的貢獻(xiàn)及翻譯活動(dòng)的特點(diǎn),最后以五位杰出翻譯家為例結(jié)合文獻(xiàn)計(jì)量學(xué)中的引文分析法和h指數(shù)分析了譯者的影響力。本研究拓展了譯者實(shí)證研究的方法,以期證明譯者研究的重要性并豐富翻譯史。
