毛澤東詩詞英譯本的文化翻譯研究

【摘要】：隨著各國經(jīng)濟的全球化,文化交流也隨之飛速發(fā)展.愈來愈多的具有西方文化背景的讀者都渴望了解并欣賞豐富的中國文化。作為全球四分之一人口的政治領袖,毛澤東還是一位杰出的詩人和原創(chuàng)大師。他的詩詞作品得到國內(nèi)外讀者的欣賞和重視。所以毛澤東詩詞的英譯本就充當了媒介的角色,把毛澤東的思想,個人情感和中國文化介紹給英語的讀者。文化翻譯學派認為翻譯的過程就是進行文化交換和跨文化交際的過程。在翻譯的過程中,譯者遇到的主要困難就是不同文化中的動態(tài)因素。怎樣把毛澤東詩詞中所蘊含的文化信息傳譯給英語的讀者是本選題的主要目的和研究內(nèi)容。 本論文嘗試對各種英譯本對毛澤東詩詞中文化因素的翻譯進行比較研究,簡要介紹了國內(nèi)外的各種英譯本及相關研究,文化翻譯的理論,分析了譯者在翻譯過程中所遇到的文化因素的障礙和不同文本中對文化因素的翻譯,最后探討了在毛澤東詩詞各個英譯本中譯者所采用的文化翻譯策略。 除了引文和結論部分,本文主體由三部分構成。引文部分對毛澤東、毛澤東詩詞和各種英譯本進行了簡要介紹。第一章回顧了文化翻譯理論,并分析了譯者在翻譯過程中遇到的文化因素障礙以及譯者對文化翻譯的理解。第二章比較了各英譯本中譯者對文化因素的處理。第三章總結分析了各版本中譯者翻譯文化因素所采用的策略和技巧,主要包括歸化和異化兩個大方向。最后得出的結論如下:譯者需要增加對文化因素感知的敏銳度和加強對文化指涉的理解,這樣他們才能準確、貼切地把源語中的文化內(nèi)涵傳譯給目的語的讀者;譯者要采用恰當?shù)奈幕g策略來解決翻譯文化因素過程中導致的文化錯位、文化缺位、文化零等值、甚至誤譯等問題,最終完成文化傳播與交流的重要使命。
[Abstract]:With the economic globalization of various countries, cultural exchange also develops rapidly. More and more readers with western cultural background are eager to understand and appreciate the rich Chinese culture. As a political leader of 1/4 people around the world, Mao Zedong is also an outstanding poet and master of originality. His poetry works are appreciated and valued by readers at home and abroad. Therefore, the English translation of Mao Zedong's poems acts as a medium, introducing Mao Zedong's thoughts, personal feelings and Chinese culture to English readers. The School of Cultural Translation holds that the process of translation is the process of cultural exchange and cross-cultural communication. In the process of translation, the main difficulties encountered by translators are dynamic factors in different cultures. How to translate the cultural information contained in Mao Zedong's poems to English readers is the main purpose and research content of this thesis. This thesis attempts to make a comparative study of the translation of cultural factors in Mao Zedong's poems in various English versions, and briefly introduces the translation theories of various English translations and related studies at home and abroad, as well as cultural translation. This paper analyzes the obstacles of cultural factors encountered by the translator in the process of translation and the translation of cultural factors in different texts, and finally probes into the cultural translation strategies adopted by the translators in various English versions of Mao Zedong's poems. In addition to the citation and conclusion part, the main body of this paper consists of three parts. The citation part gives a brief introduction to Mao Zedong, Mao Zedong's poems and various English translations. The first chapter reviews the cultural translation theory and analyzes the cultural barriers encountered by the translator in the process of translation as well as the translator's understanding of cultural translation. In the second chapter, the author makes a comparison of the translators' treatment of cultural factors in the English versions. The third chapter summarizes and analyzes the translation strategies and techniques adopted by translators in each edition, including domestication and foreignization. The final conclusions are as follows: translators need to increase their sensitivity to the perception of cultural factors and strengthen their understanding of cultural references, so that they can accurately and appropriately translate the cultural connotations of the source language to the readers of the target language; The translator should adopt appropriate cultural translation strategies to solve the problems of cultural dislocation, cultural absence, cultural zero equivalence and even mistranslation caused by cultural factors, so as to accomplish the important mission of cultural communication and communication finally.
